June 16, 201411 yr comment_57432 Really? Other teams haven't played there second preseason game and final cutdown is June 21st.
June 16, 201411 yr comment_57437 It's a pretty safe bet and I think it's a good idea for the coaches to tell these guys so that they can start looking for accomodations.
June 16, 201411 yr comment_57447 Obviously he's made it. Cotton has potential to lead the league in rushing this year.
June 16, 201411 yr comment_57452 So does this mean Grigsby cut and Ford to the 6 game IR? How do you figure? Seems like quite a leap from a casual tweet from Paris Cotton to determining the roster status of all our RB's.
June 16, 201411 yr comment_57462 Grigsby hasn't impressed, and Ford hasn't put his cleats on in two weeks. Cotton is our guy. Maybe Lawless should actually watch a few practices before calling Grigsby the starter, HA!
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57474 It's not such a leap for picking Cotton at this particular time and unless there's something we don't know, it will be Grigsby on the outs and Ford waiting to regain his status as top RB.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57480 O'Shea just said on his show that Ford is at least a couple of weeks away and won't play in the opener, so yes Cotton will definitely be on the team, and likely starting week 1.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57487 Cotton has been one of the most impressive players on the team in the preseason games, if he wasn't starting the year I'd seriously question the coaches here. Guy looks like a very dangerous player.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57543 Was cotton at anyone else's camp last season or is he a new regime find?
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57556 Was cotton at anyone else's camp last season or is he a new regime find? Brand new. He was one of our only tailback prospects without any CFL experience whatsoever.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57559 Was cotton at anyone else's camp last season or is he a new regime find? Brand new. He was one of our only tailback prospects without any CFL experience whatsoever. I'm pretty sure he was in Ticats camp last season. edit: He never made it to main camp. He was cut after their mini-camp. I do remember hearing that he was a McManus find, and was again recommended to Walters by him. http://scratchingpost.thespec.com/2013/04/the-mini-camp-fallout.html

I never knew that, I knew we had a back in mini camp Kendial Lawrence that was in a similar position.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57561 Fast, strong, has great moves, and can catch out of the backfield. I think he'll be a good one.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57567 Cotton is injured and was to see the Dr. yesterday I've seen some rumblings on twitter about him being hurt.... anyone have any more info on this??
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57568 Cotton is injured and was to see the Dr. yesterday Insert some random comment about small players not being able to take hits and needing Messam since he's big and fat etc....
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57569 Cotton is injured and was to see the Dr. yesterday Insert some random comment about small players not being able to take hits and needing Messam since he's big and fat etc.... Insert picture of that fat QB that made the NFL.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57571 Obviously he's made it. Cotton has potential to lead the league in rushing this year. now imagine the yards he'd get if he had people blocking on top of that!
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57578 This isn't a surprise. He's easily and obviously the best running back we have.
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57601 Yeah which confuses me because all I ever hear is how good imp (international) RBs are a dime a dozen. Cotton is decent, but I fail to see any wow factor. I'd go as far as saying I think we will see a revolving door of RBs this season. IMO Garrett and Simpson showed more...talent wise. I would also like to clarify that I'm not in the camp who believes Messam is the messiah either. I would like to see what Aaron Woods could do at RB. I'm very disappointed that Smith never panned out, but not entirely surprise by the results. The running back situation concerns me.

Did you want Cotton to personally come to your house and punch you in the mouth so you could say "WOW!"? Cause he pretty much did everything else perfect in two pre-season games. 11 carries for 97 yards long of 26. Probably the best RB screen pass we've executed in years against Calgary. What did you want to see?
June 17, 201411 yr comment_57614 Kind of reminded me of what Korey Sheets did in the pre season in his first year. He was pretty far down the depth chart but he kept making plays and forced himself to the top of the depth chart.
