Hall really isn't that bad, he definitely appeals to me as a backup.

Hall and Willy battling for spots 1 and 2 wouldn't be the worst situation.

It's much better then last year when they gave Buck the keys and then dumped it on Goltz when Buck was hurt.

If it were up to me giving a second round pick to a team for a QB, I'd be giving it to Ottawa for Glenn, not to Edmonton for Nichols.  Nichols is just not worth a second round.

I know, people have stated that enough times around here it's burned into my brain.  My comment was more of a "if we're going to give something to someone for a QB, I'd rather have Glenn".

This. Factor in that he'll be in an actual CFL offence right out of training camp is sure to help as well as both him and Marcel were really in no win situations last year.

The way I figure, if they're going to offer up that 2nd overall  for a QB, Tate is the only reasonably-available one that I could live with. Still seems like an awfully high price to pay tho...

Injury prone Tate? No thanks. I'd take Glenn 1000x over before I drank moonshine and considered Tate.

Tate would be my guy as well but I don't think we would need to give up our 1st rounder.  Quite frankly I wouldn't give up our #1 for anyone less than Ricky Ray or Travis Lulay.  ;) ;) ;)

Injury history aside (though obviously it is part of the equation when considering trades) Tate is much more of a ruthless and cerebral QB than Glenn. He'll have his foot on a team's throat and keep pressing down harder. His attitude rubs some people the wrong way. Personally, I love it when a QB is animated. You see it presently with Tom Brady, and you use to see it in the past with Dunigan all the time during his playing days.

Agreed unfortunately. I'd love to have Drew Tate here, but Drew Willy is a nice consolation prize.

 

Serious. Seen lots of good, bad and ugly from Hall but if there was a game where NIchols demonstrated clear superiority I did not see that game.

By this logic we should just stick with Hall, Goltz and Brown for 2014 and see how that goes.
