Wallace in my opinion is going to be the best O-line guy from that draft when all said and done...The professional coaching he has had already has advanced him so much...and from all I have heard he is a sponge and just "gets it" immediately...and....the bigger part he puts in the work for his craft

Not saying that because he is a Bomber drafted guy....Just based on what has been seen....and things talked about

If we get lucky and the kid who went to Detroit gets here....we will have grabbed the 2 highest upside oline guys in that draft

Wallace just improved as time went on for sure. He is going to start for us at some point.

Fun to sit and watch practice today... Been about 20 years since I was last able. With respect to the late great Randy Turner, the king of Odds and Sods writing.... here's some thoughts: -Al

  • Just to speak to Wolitarsky’s character and just what a good dude he is … few years back, some friends and I went to go see him play at Earl’s on Main and we ended up chatting with him and Streveler …

Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

We were all excited about Tui Eli as a Center than Osh went poof!!

Tui kind of went poof too back in 2022 himself. Have to wonder, had he not chosen to sit out the end of 2021 and all of 2022 would he be our starting C today? I really do believe so, same as I believe he should be the starter today (or at least get a chance to prove he shouldn't be)

Only reason Kola even came off the PR was because Eli didn't want the jab leading up to the 2021 GC. Then he became the starter by default because both Couture and Eli made him the last man standing by leaving.

Default, the two sweetest words to Kola since 2022

First of all, I’ve got those stupid songs in my head now thank you very much. Kid better not cut it cus I don’t need that on a regular basis lmao

another big, athletic down hill db. We’ve got a lot in that skill set so far.

I honestly think you guys take Veresuk in the 1st.  He's 240lbs and moves well.  Plus Gauthier can't play forever and Veresuk has a high upside.

I don't think we will be making a futures pick that early.  He will be in the NFL.

I could see the Bombers taking a DL in the first round if someone like Newell drops to us.  Otherwise I'd bank on the pick being OL or receiver.  We are really light in both spots for Canadians and we'll be starting 5 Canadians on O at minimum.

Probably will be this year, I think the Bomber brass are really excited about him, made Gray expandable.

Walters has listed only 2 NATs on the OL starting in a recent interview, so unless he is bumping Paddy this year it looks like the plan is to go 3 IMP OL. That doesn't mean he can't win the job though and make them change their mind.

My guess is that if availability of decent talent is there that our preference would be OL/Receiver in the first two rounds. As you stated, we are thin.

Said it before curious how we'd go only 2 Canadian OL which would mean starting 5 on offense and 3 on defense. Defense the one linebacker spot makes sense with Kramdi, in theory you get a second spot at DT with Lawson and Jake but the third is then what S with Kelly? Not a complaint mind you but a curiosity point right now.

I'd bet folding money that's the plan.

I don't see why you wouldn't start

C, RG, FSB, FWR, HB

SLB,  DT, S

Plus shouldn't be hard to find a Canada LG.

we only need to start 7 "true" Canadians...the 8th could be WJ...Bryant....Wilson...Nichols...Holm...

So depending on where they declare...5 on offense (2 OL...Demski...BO...Clercius) and 2 on defense...where they slap the 2 is up for debate but I'd prefer to see it at safety and boundary corner...now do we have the guy for that? Who knows but I'd rather see that for if anything give us a more stout front 7

Ideally tho I see no reason why we dont go 3 OL guys as we have....shouldnt be hard...I sure as it sits we be just fine with Wallace and Neuf with Eli and a draft pick in the hopper....and just need to use 1 Canadian on defense and he could be at multiple spots...depending on what we are sCheming throught a game....SafetY some plays..DT....SAM...

https://www.cfl.ca/2025/03/28/3-cfl-combine-prospects-for-every-team/

RB Joey Zorn, OL Daniel Hocevar, DL Max Von Muehldorfer

Joey Zorn was one of the best testing players in any positional group at the 2025 CFL Combine and the Michigan native who averaged better than seven yards per carry over three seasons with Windsor could slot in behind MOP Brady Oliveira while adding special teams upside.

Likewise, offensive lineman Daniel Hocevar could backfill what remains an elite run blocking unit up front with high end athleticism. Finally, Western’s Max Von Muehldorfer, who was perhaps the most unexpected standout of the combine, would potentially add multiple position flexibility for the Bombers including fullback.”

not a great article for us Imo. they complete space on the fact we have mci and Logan. I’d be interested in zorn if he slides, but I have a hard time seeing us roster all 3.

Murdorfer is an intriguing prospect, far more of an elite athletic lineman than hocevar. Idk if we go after a project dt when we have Lawson/jake/shmek/samson play gowanlock has played fb as a dl, schmek has also played te. Id be good with bringing in a project ni dl, if we are going to convert schmek or dump Jake. Other wise we should be looking at ni de or a guy who can play 3 tech, 4i and some end.

Hocevar is solid, but not the biggest fit imo. Athletically, he did what you should expect an ol under 300 lbs to do. I haven’t seen us target top testing cis ol. We go to those guys for intangibles and ceiling. I think guys like Pyle fit better.
