Fun to sit and watch practice today... Been about 20 years since I was last able. With respect to the late great Randy Turner, the king of Odds and Sods writing.... here's some thoughts: -Al

  • Just to speak to Wolitarsky’s character and just what a good dude he is … few years back, some friends and I went to go see him play at Earl’s on Main and we ended up chatting with him and Streveler …

Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

lol I haven’t followed hockey in ages and that still resonates. Great comparison.
As I said previously, “going home” is bs 90% of the time.

That's okay, you don't need to follow hockey, all you need to know is the Leaf's suck and will always suck.

And now you have the only answer you will need to reply to any hockey related question you may get.

For example, 'hey do you know how many regular season games there are in the NHL?'

Your reply, Sure I know that. Leafs suck and will always suck.

Why would this even make sense?

They space out the signings because it drives casual and fanatical interest in the team during the off-season. The new OC isn’t going to sell tickets. Or generate traffic.

I'm not saying they're waiting for dramatic effect... I'm saying they're just not announcing because "**** you that's why" (a very Osh thing to do...) basically just that they figure people don't need to know everything as soon as it happens.

Highly doubt it...they havnt finalized anything

And if that's how Osh was to coach and manage things then get him the heck outta town...he's struck out 3 straight at bats now anyway...that's just none sense

I hear the OC is going to be a random collective of MBB posters.

Probably not the worst co we’ve had lmao. We’ve had some of the worst CO’s in the cfl in the last 25 years.

We don’t need to make sense it’s the mafia/bomber way!

That’s too bad. Seemed like the Bombers liked him, he hung on most of the season and was signed to a futures contract.

tremendous raw talent.
I’m bummed we won’t have him in camp. But I do think this clears up space to bring in another high upside rookie.

Mike Miller seems like the obvious choice for the OC job.  He's been an offensive co-ordinator in the NFL and CFL. He's been a defensive co-ordinator in college (not necessary but speaks to his overall experience). And recently he's helped develop successful QB's in Toronto as their QB coaching while working under probably the best offensive mind in the league right now.

I’d go with Jackson, but I think itll be miller.
