Chad Owens & Weston Dressler get into the CFHOF but Robert Drummond & Craig Ellis don't. No politics there.

Drummond was a dominant running back for the Baltimore Stallions, Argos & Lions. He rushed for nearly 6,706 yards & scored 66 touchdowns rushing. Drummond caught another 391 passes for 4,033 yards & 18 touchdowns. He had 10,790 all purpose yards & scored 78 touchdowns. Drummond was the 2000 CFL MOP. & had numerous all star awards. While Ellis had 12,828 all purpose yards, scored 88 touchdowns. Ellis was 2 time CFL West Division & All Canadian as well.

Dave Dickenson was the 2000 CFL MOP.

Drummond just didn't have the longevity.  But he won 4 Grey Cups in his short career.

IMO the CFL HOF is already way too broad.  Like Marvin Coleman?  Calgary Stampeders Hall of Fame sure...league Hall of Fame...don't think so.

Should be guys that were the absolute best player at their position or in that conversation for a significant period of time.

wasnt Coleman like second highest career defensive tds or some thing?
6 time divisional all star 3 time league all star at corner plus 3 time divisional all star as a kr. 28 picks 6 returned for tds plus 7 kr tds. Had good longevity as a kr and cb but certainly wasn’t the same guy here that he was in his prime. But he was still a good player.
hard to say and db is harder to pick hofers at imo. He was a better db imo than Drummond a rb for their careers.

Eight seasons isn't longevity? Man JBR, that's cutting it really thin as a reason for keeping Drummond out of the CFHOF saying he lacked longevity when the average football career isn't even 4 years.

How many years did Dressler & Goldsmith play?? Goldsmith played ten seasons from 1981-90 & Dressler played 11 seasons from 2008-18 but missed 25 games with injuries from 2014-18. So, he missed a season & a half which is the equivalent of 9 1/2 seasons & not 11.

You look at the stats & championships. It's there for all to see. Drummond had 10,790 all purpose yards. Broken down that's 6,706 yds rushing with 60 TDs & 4,033 yards receiving with 18 TDs. He had another 51 yards returning kicks for zero touchdowns. That's 78 total touchdowns along with 4 Grey Cup rings. Just incredible stats. I remember Drummond as a monster. If he didn't kill teams as a runner then he killed them as a receiver. He dominated games as a player. If there was a knock on Drummond, he played very little Special Teams.

Dickenson may have won the CFL's MOP award in 2000 but Drummond won the 2000 Grey Cup MOP Award. ,

He's retired around 3 times now.

He was on the injured list all of the 2022 season, released before the 2023 season and now moved to the retired list so it seemsit might be a bit different than past situations.

If he was still trying to make a comeback, they could have used one of the first two methods.

Drummond played parts of 8 seasons and was a primary back for the Argos in 2 seasons, Lions in 1.  Otherwise shared the backfield.

Not a CFL HOFer.

No interest in Menard. I’d rather we go three American rotation off the edges and rotate Canadians in the one DT spot, with Hubert maybe filling an emergency role as a guy who could take a snap or two anywhere.

Makonzo is a guy I’d be interested in, pending knowledge of why he was released in Edmonton. If he just got lost in the wash there after his injury, bring him in. If it was anything personality related, no thanks.
