I guess bottom line for me to qualify as most outstanding is demonstrating the ability to put the team on your back and drag them to victory. Can anyone truly say that Kelly was the difference between winning and losing in any Argo game this year? I don't think so. They are just a very well rounded team that needs a game manager to be a winning team. Like BC last year, Toronto had the benefit of having the cheapest starting QB to enter the season and therefore to sign/re-sign players last offseason. Next year Chad will be making 600k and it will cost the Argos a few good players to pay him that. He better turn into that guy that can put a team on his back because he won't have the same well oiled machine around him. Edited November 1, 20231 yr by GCn20

That’s more about WRs and play call. As stated starting field position is a huge deal. Some years no qb is outstanding too. Ideally to rate an out standing qb I would look at stats like attempts per td, completions per game, yards per attempt, and turn overs per snap to get an idea of how much the offence relies on the qb and how prolific they are at producing. 2nd down conversions, 2 and outs, and sacks/hits/pressures are big as well.  Some food for thought. The 21 bombers had a very similar dominant D, and great return game. We had a shorter season that coincides with the Argos sitting him a bunch and both strong run games. 2021 Zach 243/346 70.2% 3185yards 9.2avg 20 tds 6 picks 111 rating. 2023 chad 270/394 67.4% 4123yards 10.5avg 23 tds 12 picks 109.3 rating. Kelly still had a bunch more opportunities, but was leaned on significantly less, and put up more turn overs. 21 Zach was a classic qb mop season. 23 Kelly reminds me a lot of Trevor Harris but on a great team.Â

I think tho MAAS should be the winner, especially taking a team that had to pretty much start any signings, and recruiting well after anyone else due to the ownership issue there, and had some big time players leave due to that uncertainty

I honestly think Osh prefers it this way. Get overlooked on an individual basis, rally around each other for the big prize.

Was thinking that, now maybe I'm just a big old Dave Ritchie fan but let the argos win all the awards and get a huuuge chip on the Bombers shoulder. Sort of like how Hamilton was soooooo great in 2019 and won all the awards. We didn't just win, we whooped their asses, and we knew we were going to do it!
November 1, 20231 yr comment_672048 Brady should be MOP and MOC but likely just gets MOC because the media is full of idiots. Dinwiddie, off topic but does anybody else think he does not look ok healthwise when watching on tv?

November 1, 20231 yr comment_672057 Best RB is the league, best Qb in the league, best RT in the league thus Most Outstanding Lineman.

Canadian dominating a largely imp position one of the best rb seasons ever and a repeat viral sensation for animal rescue. Plus just a classy dude and extremely marketable. Kelly didn’t do more than most of the young QBs who have a big first season as a regular starter lately. Vaj rourke fajardo Kelly is middle of that pack as a first year full time qb1.  No one is even close to Brady right now.Â

November 1, 20231 yr comment_672066 Here's a thought. If there were a category for "Breakout Player of the Year," would Kelly even be considered for the Most Outstanding Player? I doubt it. If he wins, we might as well rename the MOP award to the "QB of the Team with the Best Regular Season Record Award," but that lacks a certain ring to it.
November 2, 20231 yr comment_672086 Another guy that thinks the MOP award should go to the player that performs better than expectations.
