With Ringmaiden leaving & becoming the Lions GM. Hence the "No brainer" comment. I think that is the plan. He wouldn't be GM here unless Walters decides to leave.

He's got a history with BC and there'll be a GM opening whenever they can afford it. It's weird to suggest Kyle would be leaving for any reason... The Trinity have a job in Winnipeg as long as they want it.

Ahh I haven't been paying much attention to CFL news lately because, quite simply, there hasn't really been any.

Sucks we lost Rigmaiden. He was definitely a big part of our management group. Good luck to him.

Good thing we still have Danny Mac and Ted Goveia under Walters. We're still strong, just not as strong.

I was pretty good with your list until I saw Stove as a C. He's a B verging on A. Humongously important. I'm also tempted to move McAllister to a B, as well. I'd put BA37 as an A. Exume as a B. Josh Johnson a B. Shayne Gauthier is a B at best.

I might give you BA as an A given his leadership abilities.

Stove you could be right at B. It's really difficult for me to gauge DTs and I think Drake was "the man" so maybe Stove needs to fill his spot. McAllister gets a lot of unwarranted praise. He has proven nothing. Maybe he has potential? We have Jefferson and Jeffcoat so his importance to me is very low.

Losing Rose and Sayles it was important to bring in the next high skill DB so that's why I think Josh Johnson will be very important to us. That said, it might change given there will be other players out there to sign come February.

Exume and Gauthier are top special teamers that have played a significant role for us. 

Listening to Jake Thomas and Pat Neufeld while they watched Grey Cup Neufeld singled out Stove as being one of the hardest guys in the league to block.

More than a few guys banged their shin in The Stove and learned a lesson.... 

I think Petermann is the dark horse that we really need to keep.   

Petermann would start on basically any other team. It says a lot about our receiver depth that he's not starting. 

sure is good to see some cfl, bomber stuff. I have missed it more than I expected.

Peterman is stuck behind some really good Canadian receivers. He could be a damned good one, but so can Demski and Wolitarsky. 

How many veterans from every team are going to be released as they are too expensive? I think sadly a lot of them will be let go.

Yeah, I expect some big names will go to FA in February & may not get signed even then. 

Fully expect the Bombers to stroke several names off their list this week... 

Yeah, I’m not sure there’s going to be a rush to get to FA when you factor in all the unknowns and knowing teams are strapped for money.

the PA isn't going to like hearing that, but if administration costs go down in equal measure, it should at least be more palatable...

BLM said a few weeks ago that he is willing to take a pay cut to make it work with the Stamps financially. Mike Reilly meanwhile is suiing the Lions saying his salary is guaranteed. One player gets it. The other in his late 30's lives in a fantasy world in Seattle. BLM may be a head case at times but there's no doubt he is committed to the Stampders while Reilly just wants to get paid & will go where the money is best. Pandemic or no pandemic. Season or no season.
