As much as I like Roh, does he make the Bombers roster as a Rohtational player this year? Seems like the trend is to save some money.  After signing Jeffcoat and Jefferson to big money, our 3rd DE may need to be a rookie.

They are all rotational on the DL.    Roh and Jeffcoat are very versatile too, can do everything from drop in coverage to play 3 technique.  Having those guys is very purposeful.

i hope that Lapo adjsut or augments his scheme regardless, as if he keeps it staus quo teams will be eating our lunch right from the get go knowing what the bread and butter is...should always be ever evolving any way.

And any quarter back at the pro level can stretch a field and throw intermediate to long all day long if the scheme and the OC allows for it...saying a pro QB doesn't have a long ball, or can't throw a long ball at this level is baseless and out right false. A guy can't go rogue and do his own thing or he will see the pine pretty quickly.

Nichols seems smart enough, and has been in this system long enough now, with a lot of the same weapons that he should be given the ability and chance in games to cal his own plays and not have to follow the script given to him through lapo..But I doubt this occurs

thing is...just with his skill-set and size alone...if he would be used and targeted 5-8 times a game....he would be a lock probably for an average of 50-60 yards a game...which translates to a 1000+ yard season at worst with most likely those td's if not more

Heck, we've had lots of receivers who were good for 100 yard seasons.

At that hellish pace, he'd be on track to hit 100 yards in 2 games.  Guy would have to be a freaking beast to do that and we'd likely lose him to the AAF.

I know it was partially injury related and it may be a shade off topic - but Chad Pennington certainly was not known for having a long ball.

In the Canadian game its a bit more important. You need a strong arm to go the ball to the far side of the field.  Arm strength is not all about the long ball.

Why is it more important? With plays between the hash marks there aren't anymore 50 yard throws where the qb rolls right then throws left across the field. Accuracy is everything.
