The most prominent is Jackson Jeffcoat, a Texas product and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and Ted Hendricks Award winner who went undrafted a few years ago and bounced around before going to Canada.

I watched that game. He has wheels. Can he run! And throws a nice ball as well although Baylor is definitely a run first offense. I think Brewer's height will hold him back from the NFL. I think he's just around 6 feet tall. Guess he'll be back at Baylor next season.

Sounds like a guy who would be well suited to our current offensive scheme.

I sure hope we get Billhill to sign. He's the heart and soul of our D.

If he was at the Canucks game in the front row with Wally and Hervey, I'd be inclined to believe he's got an offer on the table by BC.

Richie Hall had certainly better hope so to or the mob will be coming after him again

WINNIPEG, MB.,  January 4, 2019 –  The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed national fullback John Rush to a two-year extension, and also signed international defensive back Eric Patterson.

Rush has spent the past two seasons with Winnipeg, playing in 31 games and recording seven special teams tackles. Rush was set to become a free agent next month.

Patterson (5-10, 193, Ball State University, February 5, 1993 in Tampa, FL) played four seasons with the Ball State University Cardinals, playing in 41 total games and starting 28 times. In his collegiate career, he recorded 189 total tackles and had six interceptions. In his senior season, he had 23 kick returns and averaged 25.7 yards.  Patterson was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots in 2015 and has been on the Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Rams, and Cleveland Browns’ practice squads. He returns to the Blue Bombers after signing with the club in January, 2018.

Rest In Peace William Miller. A very good running back during the Dieter Brock & Ray Jauch era. Miller put up two one thousand yard seasons in 1980 & 82. He died of cancer at age 62.

A good signing but he should still be pushed, preferably by a homegrown kicker. Medlock is not immune to aging and one of these years his wheels will fall off.

Hopefully we have someone in the wings besides Lankford (lol)...You're right every player has a best before' but I still think Meds has still got a couple of good yrs. left

In term of average punt he had the best average of his career but distance isn't everything, hang time is just as important and out kicking your coverage can cause problems, non the less a real good signing for the Bombers

There must be advanced metrics for kickers? I'm with @Noeller that I thought he had a great year last year. He was often putting the ball where it was needed. That was the eye test though and not based on any statistical metrics and I would be curious to have my conclusion tested with advanced metrics.
