Strange analysis...  basically saying not reducing the ratio is a 'loss' for the CFLPA... and that 1/3 of the players getting a $12k raise is also a loss

Reality is you can go 4-0 and still miss the playoffs. Or you can go 0-4 and make them. The point I was making, is games 1 through 4 (I'd argue even up to 7 or 8 ) dont make or break seasons. BC winning or losing game 1 will not be a large factor in how the season turns out for either team.

It's the CFL, the summer is all about getting ready for the fall. What you do after labor day matters much more than what you do previously.

Pretty sure you can go 1-8 in the west and still make the playoffs...  Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto will be tire fires this year

This is what I’m hoping for. If globals can count as a Canadian and the cfl fronts a lot of the costs of running combined exts for global players you will end up seeing global players in the cfl and they will only be here if they are increasing the overall talent of a squad.

3downnations’ reporting on the cba has been one sided and manipulative from day one.

Fair point. But those point could determine where you play your first playoff game

This is actually a very well-built team...  I think its Bombers v. Esks for top spot in the West

REC is a bit of a question mark - but Daniels and Ellingson should open space for the others

Really like their ratio - assuming Boateng keeps up his play

I'd prob go 3 NI OL instead of 2 NI REC... even think of moving ODonnell back to RT

Konar and Mulumba are expensive special teamers...

 

 

Secondary is meh but the rest of their D looks solid.

I know we don't want abunch of separate topics, but the lack of individual topics for major news (CBA finalized, Chris Matthews signing etc.) really does make me post less personally... I hate shifting through an endless topic of 100 + pages only to find out that I missed a gem well worth discussing. 

I'm not sure how many players make under $65k, but let's say it's 25 per team. Not factoring in guys already making $65-$75k who might want to get a bump to stay above the minimum, you'd be looking at a max salary increase (next year) of $250k to those guys if they were all at the minimum. The salary cap goes up by $100k in that time as well, so you're looking at shifting about $150k from veteran starters to rookies and backups. 

I think a GM like Walters who is good at finding guys will do just fine.

Money Hunter and Hightower are very very solid DBs... that's a very nice group

An incentive for starting a certain number of veteran Americans.  Man this can't be something that's considered good news for BC.
