He could flame out in camp and story evapourates by opening day. But if he doesnt.... how on earth does he get the reps to progress without robbing Masoli ?

As a fan im not against him in theory but I want to know what the plan is.

Masoli isn’t great. I’m sure he’s also going to have a very short leash now and the circus will be in town sooner rather than later with Manziel at the helm. 

From a Bombers perspective, id like us to make a deal for Vernon Adams. He’s relegated to third string in Hamilton now, and he showed he could play when he was in Montreal. 

Masoli is really good, Montreal would take him in a flash. Masolli holds the league record for consecutive completions.

 

Manziel.... from what I've read, has never shown that he can master a playbook.

I think it deserves a thread.... it's quite significant  media wise for the team and the league, locally, across Canada, and in the US.

So how many American reporters are going to be covering Ticats camp now?  It's going to be a zoo over there all season. 

I'm excited to see what Johnny Football can do in the CFL.  Whether he dominates, fizzles out, or fails spectacularly I'm sure it will be fun to watch.

Manziel if focused could be a good cfl qb....  I think his chances of NFL are pretty much toast.

Manziel will be good for the CFL's name recognition in the US of A. I'm looking forward to see what he can do, but I'm not expecting much, especially in the first year while he scrapes the rust off and learns the differences in the CFL game.

Later this week...its still the off season until it isnt.

Physicals are today.  Training camp opens tomorrow.   Fair to say the off season is done and we should move on from that thread.

quite a few American media people  think that if he does well in the CFL for a couple of years, he'll be back in the NFL. Think I heard Rodney Harrison said that.

I hope that if he gets into a peep of trouble, the Ticats and/or the CFL ship his ass home. Dude's got some bad stuff on his rap sheet.

His partnership with Barstool sports is EQUALLY important to him playing pro football so that just shows where his mindsets at. Talented and exciting player but I didn’t see guys like Troy Smith who won the Heisman light up the CFL. He’s going to have to put the work in and compete against Masoli who has slowly gotten better and better each year.

Exactly what I thought. Though I'm ok with it, but if I were a ticat fan/coach I'd be concerned. Barstool is huge, and will bring a lot of distraction for him.

I always thought the bar stool was what Dan'l Boone stepped on in the forest.

Maybe I haven’t been following along closely enough but what is Barstool sports and why is this partnership a big deal?

He has said he's a manic depressive, now getting proper medical supervision and treatment. I haven't seen anyone say that's untrue.

I’m hoping for Okpalaugo to climb the ladder for an at-the-line INT just as Bighill pile drives Manziel cleanly...

I don't like Manziel, think he's overhyped. I do like the extra attention for the CFL though.

Manziel has all the abilities to be a top level QB in this league it's just on him if he wants to put the work in.
