It was a friend of Murphy's, not Kelly, who did that. 

Speaking of Murphy, does he still have that scouting business? Could it be one of his guys who worked out Manziel so it wouldn't be directly linked to the Riders.

So reading some posts on the Riders forum (ugh) and they seem to think Kyle Walters is feeding Dunk this stuff.

The new narrative is that Walters is Dunk's mole, and Kyle also leaked the Young thing.     Why?   "To embarrass the Riders"

Mind you, no actual proof has been offered up yet.

 

I fully expect the league to say, "We are aware of this issue and are investigating it." Then hope that it all blows over and never talked about again.

what a joke. Its the busiest time of the year for the front office. Going into cfl FA, the draft around the corner after that, and they think we are worried about creating dirt to keep them down? We are gonna worry about dicking them over instead of improving the team thats in a great position finally. Just idiotic. They allways have a scapegoat. Its not the rest of the world, its jones and the goons that work for him. No one needs to make them look bad, they do it them self. 

If this is true with the previous rule infractions I wonder what the leagues punishment would be. Personally id rather see the riders axe jones et al and the league pass on punishment. No franchise being run that poorly is good for the league. 

Bombers are looking up at bc, and calgary and to the side at edmonton. Figuring out how to move up. Not way way in the back at the stalls at the riders wallowing in their own you know what.

It's called "plausible deniability". I wonder how much longer the Riders' board of directors can let this farce go on. Funny enough, firing Jones for cause would probably improve things in Pile O' Bones.

It's not a huge deal IMO,   however deep down I would LOOOOVE for some footage of him working out with some Rider personnel to be leaked. 

 

Just check Manziel's Intragram account. If he did something, it's on there.

Seems pretty obvious that its one of Murphy's contacts... not official Roughrider scout but probably mentioned his connections...

I'm sure Austin/Tillman have already called up Murphy to see what they are offering for Manziel's rights, ha

Did the Riders do this?  Likely.  Can anyone prove it?  Not likely.  I'm assuming that this was on on behalf of the Riders by a "friend".  So, most likely,  there would be no one on the Riders payroll there, even if film of the workout did show up.  Orridge probably knows that it likely happened but there is bo diddly squat he can do about it.  Jones being Jones.  Eventually, he'll outhink himself and end up running afoul of the rules (again).  But next time, he's not going to just get a fine.  He'll get a fine AND a stern look from the commissioner.  That'll fix him.
