But I thought the Riders were the heart and soul of the CFL. Canada's team even.

Its the all star list. That means all the stars after the riders roster. It like the NBA. Riders roster = cfl all star team #1 cfl all stars are team 2.

Imop we should have had 2 guys on the OL, ours was hands down better then BCs for the year. But over all its a good list.

Having 2 backs per division is kinda meh though. Even knowing harris would have been the one to lose out in the west. Fantuz/tolliver more deserving then CJ gable imop.

Every one of these fellas would say that individual awards are lesser than the team award and would rather help their squad win the cup. No one could disagree.

Good for them if they get to speak publicly about the all star citing. They worked very hard, during games, in practices, watching film, in the gym, year round, and years of perfecting each individual skill. There is a certain sense of achievement that is earned. I honestly hope they get to enjoy the honour privately.

Seriously though, watch Riderfans in about an hour when they finally do the Rider math and figure out Roosevelt wasn't selected. It will be a meltdown. They are just a little slower on the uptake so it takes a little while.

Roosevelt should be on there. He was outstanding.

How can the Riders not have one rep on the All Star team? I have heard that they have the most explosive receiving corps in the league, to go along with the league's best QB, LBing corps and a secondary that is playing at an all star level since Labor Day? Obviously this is JO's fault.

This is still up in the air. He may become the crutch that was holding back the Riders in 2016.

You'll need to wait until he signs his new contract before "analysis" can truly begin.

It shouldn't be long before Rider Stronson starts up with his fake sources suggesting that there was a conspiracy against Roosevelt. That guy is a serious boot licker wannabe. Makes up garbage and then uses his title of moderator to intimidate or eliminate anyone that dares challenge his accuracy. So sad that CRF doesn't see this yet.

Roosevelt is a heckuva player and if he had been on a better team, he would have been a contender.

If Roosevelt had played an entire season playing as he did in the first 11 games then he likely would have been named.

And c'mon people... this is a thread about the Bombers named Western All-Stars and the majority of posts are about Riders and Riderfans.

Congratulations to the Bomber 6!

So interesting thought:

A lot of folks feel that Daniels in Calgary will beat out Loffler for ROTY, but Daniels isn't even one of the receivers on the all star team (where there are four spots), yet Loffler is the safety (where there's one spot). On that basis, it can be argued that Loffler is either the best or second-best safety in the entire league, and that while Daniels is prob a top ten receiver, he's not near the top five. Should Loffler really be the favourite for ROTY?

A player like Loffler comes along maybe once every 10-15 years and good receivers pop up in the CFL pretty much every year.

Well, both John Chick and Shawn Lemon qualified as all-stars, so that must count for something.

On another note what's up with Justin Sorensen?  In Wpg. he was delegated expendable, in Edm. he's a frickin' all-star!
