  1. The game is in Regina. I'm talking about the BANJO BOWL. Since when was that played in Regina?
  2. I'm hopeful the Saturday switch throws the Rider players' clocks off in their heads and causes an epic choke in IGF.
  3. I know I'm in the minority saying this, but I still think Bellefeuille's offenses are better built than Lapolice's were. I think the key is having balance between those short passes, intermediate passes, and long balls. Sometimes Bellefeuille or Drew Willy get a bit too hooked on the long ball or trying to find a play too far downfield when they're better suited to hit the short route. Though in a sense, I do like doing that instead of what that idiot Lapolice did when he'd get hooked on those garbage short routes on 2nd and long and constantly play that conservative mainy approach. What Bellefeuille just needs to do is just add a bit more of a play fake blend to those to keep the defense guessing on which pass is coming. But also, let's not confuse lack of effective playcalling with lack of execution, cuz that seems to happen a lot here.
  4. Speaking of the Riders, I don't know if this was brought up yet but I just saw that the Banjo Bowl this year was scheduled for Saturday and not Sunday like it has been. New CFL rules I guess. But thank god anyway, now I'm not gonna miss NFL opening week.
  5. I don't even understand that sillyness anyway. Cut Marve for ... Partridge? Moniz? Sunseri? All of those are downgrades and only barely serviceable at best. Our QB situation is fine and doesn't need fixing. Our O-line ??? No thanks to those doosh's at TSN I have no idea what kind of shape that's in, but I expect we're better in that department. I only hope our holes on defense have been because Hall is intentionally going vanilla so he can throw the ripples at Darrian Durant come opening night but if that isn't the case .... Maybe we can call up Randy Melvin and tell him he has a job as DC here.
  6. Drew Willy - 11-17 fpr 142 yards, no TDs but also no interceptions. Robert Marve - 11-16 for 115 yards, 42 rushing yards, no TDs but also no interceptions all the rest ... well Brohm was a little shaky. But I'm not worried about the O. The D seems to be our problem, sure hope Hall can get it fixed and his success in SSK wasn't based on the players alone and untied to the scheme.
  7. I'm so ready for preseason to be done already, especially so TSN can quit making up excuses for not coming to IGF. F*** em.
  8. Yup, and only makes sense too. No he isn't Calvillo, but I think he's the best option they got and unless he craps the bed super bad, he's the horse that's been ridden post-AC that's delivered the best.
  9. Sure lol. All joking aside though, I'm a bit surprised by Higgins's already talking about starting LeFevour. I know Crompton's been off this preseason and I'm not advocating player loyalty, but to me it just makes sense to use the guy who took the team on his back last year and turned their fortunes from 1-8 to 9-9. I just don't see anything LeFevour brings to the table that's gonna help the Als get consistent wins at this point. I just don't see any wisdom in this and more likely than not, Higgins would probably just wind up changing his mind again a couple weeks in.
  10. That wet ball makes me unsurprised that those balls are flying way off.
  11. Yeah although the way I see it, I don't think I've ever seen any QB in this league get a consistently clean pocket, except for maybe Bo Levi Mitchell.
  12. Not down on Brohm or anything, but I really like Marve's ceiling better. Guy isn't perfect but he's got some good upside. Crompton didn't have that good a night tonight, but I just don't think he's out yet. Lefevour just doesn't have a good arm and his accuracy is still highly lacking. Als are just off their game tonight, but I'm not counting them out yet.
  13. Considering Portis may not crack the roster, I'd not be too sad about him ending up there, but I hope not Marve, need that guy here at all costs if something happens to Willy.
  14. Man, terrible play design there, run it up the gut if you're gonna do that.
  15. Good thing it's a preseason game that counts for nothing then.
  16. Terrible drop there Don't understand why they didn't try using the run game on that series either
  17. No sir not in a walk, no sir I'm not buying that. Hamilton had their chance to win that cup the last 2 years and Austin's window went shut. Montreal started bad last year cuz of Troy Smith and Ryan Dinwiddie messin it up early. That got fixed and they aren't gonna be startin out 1-8 this time. Hamilton's gonna drop a few games down book it.
  18. Als picking up right where they left off with Crompton. I think Hamilton's gonna lose the east this year.
  19. Tuning into the Als game right now Here's hoping it isn't old Rod B again
