Rourke Contract squabbles
In defense of that person... he never said Rourke was fully healed and at no risk.... he simply said no one here really knows if he is at risk or not... which is technically true, despite all the evidence pointing to it being risky.

2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
BTW... you know what's weird... I can specifically remember the 08 East final... it was against Edmonton and they were to first team to ever win a cross-over game... led to blowing it up for the Mike Kelly regime... fun times But the one thing I don't remember... is that the game was played on Saturday... If I was betting money on it, I'd have said it was a Sunday

2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
I like Saturdays better... opens up a better party atmosphere for the game (I know, tell that to the 31,000 strong in Winnipeg last Sunday).... but the biggest thing is if you want to try and get more eyeballs... why bother competing with the NFL??

And so it has come to this...
Lotta anger here... let's just go out an win the game... Going back to the first question of @bluto's post... I would be much more concerned going up against prime Doug Flutie and the 97 squad... even with the team we have now

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happens if BC chooses not to pick up the option year

That's the difference between 2018 and the years since...

there's definitely something to that... flip the script and the Riders are going for the third straight GC in Winnipeg (sorry... just needed a minute to stop laughing before I can continue this analogy)... you can guarantee we'd all be Argo fans for a week

yes, they did... which is the best part about how terrible the team actually was

Watch it again... it was none other than the goat who made the actual block... Wild was just there for the scoop and score

maybe he signs somewhere where the QB1 isn't set and he has a chance to compete for it... I think that would be his best case scenario

Game replays online
funny... I watched a bit of the beginning and Suitor had the RTK rule wrong during the broadcast... he explained the way we all understood it, as long as you get the ball first, everything afterwards is fair game EDIT: I watched a little bit more and two thigs stand out... again, Suitor clearly didn't know the rule... at the time of the ruling he was trying to justify it based on the timing where maybe the leg was hit before the ball was blocked (it wasn't even close)... a few mins later he pipes up to clarify the rule... clearly after someone explained it to him... And apparently the Bombers sideline did know the rule... during the review, they cut to the Bombers sideline and you can hear a bunch of people yelling "defense"... which leads me to believe they knew the defense would be going back out after the review. Here's something for thought... if that wasn't an automatics review, would the BC sideline have known to challenge to it??

This is obviously purely hypothetical and mostly just a joke at the riders expense... but for a third string, short yardage guy at a massive discount (100k or less)... you could do a lot worse than Fajardo... that's said, I'd rather stick with Prukopp if he doesn't have other opportunities.

West Final GDT: Back to Back Champs vs Dome Boys
I said to my buddies at the game... the only way this makes sense is if there's a rule change that I'm unaware of... and I'm guessing about 99% of people also didn't know this rule change... this explains it well

well if you've seen five wins (2021, 2019, 1990, 1988, and 1984)... Then I'm guessing you've also seen five losses (2011, 2007, 2001, 1993, 1992)

3 stars plus hh bc sucks
On that last drive when the crowd was going crazy and Rourke couldn't get it together... allowing the clock to run down from 33 to 13 seconds left... I don't know if I've ever experienced a bigger home field advantage in my life... they should've been able to run three plays there... I pointed out the clock to my fellow yellers and said (yelled) "does he know the clock is running?"

Just lock this plan in... it's so easy to turn a team around in the CFL... especially the O-line.... I imagine there's teams lining up to sign him as their GM as we speak!

West Final GDT: Back to Back Champs vs Dome Boys
I still don't think you're correct about that.. but I don't want to drum that argument up again... all I know is if paying Rourke $90,000 next year is the only option... he will not be playing in BC next year.

I think you missed the joke... at the beginning of 2019 we certainly didn't know there would be no 2020 season...

I'd also wonder why from 2019-2022 it's only his third straight and not fourth...

East Final thread
relax, she's not in Winnipeg... she's just repeating what she's been told... people complain about some dumb things with the broadcast sometimes...

lucky play but good catch love watching Harris run it in like that... hate it in those colours...

West Final GDT: Back to Back Champs vs Dome Boys
Media picking BC is more of a hope at this point… let’s be honest, everybody outside of Winnipeg wants the lions to win this game… TSN is probably already writing the story line “kid Canada in the big game” “BC topples the dynasty… and I don’t blame them, another Bomber win is boring (for everybody else)… but our guys will show up ready and excited to crush those headlines…. BC needs to score over 30 to win today… I don’t think they get close… I’ll say 35-21 Bombers (one BC td comes in garbage time)

I think Killam has been "the next one" in waiting for a while... correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he the interim HC when Dickenson was out with COVID earlier this year... I would assume he is in the mold of O'Shea... not an x's and o's guy but a leader and a culture builder... as long as he has good assistants... I don't see why he couldn't succeed as a HC
