I think this is the most optimistic I've ever seen you... based on conversations in the OB days.... then again, those were dark days... Funny that you mention Peyton Manning.... You can tell last year and reputation/expectation is still very much a consideration in the power rankings.... they should start to be more accurate after 4-5 weeks.... kinda scary how similar Hamilton's 2013 end/2014 beginning of the season is to Winnipeg 2011 end/2012 beginning... right down to the stadium delays!

Seems like any lineman out of Calgary or Laval recently have become good CFL players.... interesting list to follow... we'll see who shakes out as a legit NFL prospect and who is left for the CFL after this year...

While I agree this is not a mind blowing feat... I think about Max Hall and Buck Pierce and Joey Elliot and Justin Goltz and Alex Brink..... could any of these men perform that throw??

I was torn on this one when I first saw it.... I definitely think Odell did a good job to lower his shoulder and try to avoid head contact... IMO the head contact was incidental.... but since Collaros was hurt on the play I'm not surprised there was a fine...

this is turning into a real disaster for Hamilton... sure it was a dump, but at least we had a 29,500 seat back up stadium ready to go when ours was delayed... not to mentiom this is supposed to be on ESPN... yikes... the CFL absolutely needs to flex this game out... showing a bad CIS stadium to unaware American fans is gonna make the CFL look like a mickey mouse organization...

You harp on me calling Kelly average all offseason and now that he's on pace for a 1000 yard season, you want to call for him to be benched?Yes he nearly caused an interception in the 4th when he gave up on his route and had to chase and knock the ball out of the defenders mitts.He did make a good play dragging two guys for the first down. What???? that ball was thrown into triple coverage.... are you sure you were watching Bombers vs Redblacks last night and not some pre-recorded game?? maybe Kelly coulda fought back to try and make a stop but that pick was on Willy Kelly was streaking and open and then he stopped running and then had to play catch up... How is it any better having the stadium at Assiniboia Downs for people other than those living on the west side of the city? Both locations (University where IGF is located or potentially at the Downs would have had their problems. At least Polo Park was somewhat centralized with very good bus service in & out. Lots of parking as well. Getting to & from the stadium by car wasn't too bad either. taking the bus to IGF is easier/quicker than taking the bus to CanadInns... I've done both many times...

I absolutely loved the way the defense adjusted last night.... they came out flat and were unsure how to handle a team they'd never seen on film.... after the first quarter the D made some adjustments and completely shut down Hank letting 3 FGs (one missed) the rest of the way.... IMO that's the least prepared we will see this team to start a game all year...

I don't think anyone's hating on him.... just pointing out he needs to improve his pass protection to be an all-around complete back...

Maybe this has come up somewhere else but I didn't see it... When Ottawa was called for a time count violation with 7 seconds to go the refs issued a 10-yard penalty and replay of the down... I thought that penalty, at that point, in the game is a loss of down.... so I thought the call there shoulda been loss of downs and a turn over on downs.... Am I mistaken? turns out it didn't make a difference but at the time it coulda been a huge call.... thoughts?

I liked the move in the first place cuz he was brought in to be a veteran presence and provide a winning attitude.... clearly he didn't fit the bill... the way Sears is playing, no on will miss him on the field and it doesn't sound like he'll be missed much off the field...
