I second Jon Ryan. That guy was a monster. Never used that term when describing a punter before I have a Jon Ryan #14 Gold jersey (2007 Grey Cup style)... A friend borrowed it a few years ago when he went to a Vikings/Seahawks game and got it signed before the game...

jersey report card IMO: BC = A+ Montreal = A Hammy = B+ Sask = C Tor = D Winnipeg = F- FWIW I would have been ok with a Navy Blue bombers jersey... as long as it incorporated gold and didn't have the bird poop helmet and shoulders...

I like Montreal's.... yeah it's basically the Oregon Ducks, but whatever.... There's about 37 different versions of their jersey but this one sums it up.... just change the colours... and like a few have mentioned I also think Calgary's will be great based on the helmet...

If anything it's the owners that should be upset... it's likely a team with 5-6 wins will host a playoff game while a team with 9-10 wins won't even make the playoffs... You gotta go back a bit but the last time there was an imbalance this ridiculous was 1981... Calgary (W5) had six wins while Ottawa (E2) had 5 and Montreal (E3) had 3..... so it seems like it's an anomaly....

Just looking at Mtl's depth chart... they really are only a QB away from being a good team.... good o-line + Whittaker @ RB + Carter/Green/Stafford at WR could be a good offense with the right QB....

Yeah, actually I can blame Pall, Rids. He was under contract to the Stamps when he left. He was injured but he still quit on the team that drafted him & were paying for his rehab in the hopes of getting him back in the lineup. The only thing I can say is the Stamps were so impressed with Pall they let him go. So, 10 CFL games playing special teams in 3 seasons with just 3 tackles. Buuuuuust. So, just why would we want this guy??? If he was released then he would, in fact , not be under contract... maybe he broke a verbal agreement he had with Calgary but he was certainly within his rights to leave...

Or they selling some parts to buy a new engine(QB). I think another team already got Sask's quality back-up...

I finally just watched some highlights of the Sask/Mtl game to get a feel for the Riders signature jersey.... their jerseys aren't great either... but at least they look like the Riders

Brad Sinopoli, Brander Craighead, Brent Jones, Dmitri Tsoumpas, Jesse Newman, Jon Gott, Eric Fraser, Steve Mydellton, J'Michael Deane, Rob Maver, Karl McCartney, Matt Walter, Anthony Parker, Brad Erdos, Keenan McDougall, Shane Bergman, Pierre Lavertu. Yeah, he muffed it on Pall. Can't win em all. Eric fraser and Steve Myddleton aren't exactly ringing endorsements either Now you're just nit-picking.... Sure Myddleton and Fraser aren't all-stars but they're both serviceable players.... The kind of depth players every team would want... definitely not busts.... but like Iso said, "can't win em all"

Fair enough... I'm not pretending to know anything about his play since he got drafted (other than the releases).... All I'm saying is if our staff thought he was worth a look, I'd be ok with it...

Really like this one... similar to the helmets the Jags use on a full time basis now.... much better than Wpg, Sask, and Ott

I think there's no harm.... this kid had high potential when he was drafted but didn't do much with it... if he has any desire to keep playing I wouldn't object to giving him a look... worst case scenario: he's got nothing left and we release him...

I'm confused.... I don't like the new jersey... but I've had season tickets for 11 years and have only missed one game in that time.... I also own 7 or 8 other Bombers jerseys... am I considered a true fan by your standards?

Definitely liking those Calgary helmets.... I've actually always been a fan of Calgary's current look.... I know some strongly oppose their road whites
