Lock of the Week
Damn, I need to get on these things earlier... I'm always to excited to pick someone that hasn't been selected yet, you beat me to it... Going to have to think about it more now!

Prediction time
I'm gonna predict the standing but not the records... Why? I just think it could be a very even race across the entire CFL this year... eg 11-7 could win the division while 8-10 misses out on the playoffs... anyways... West: 1. Calgary 2. Edmonton 3. Winnipeg 4. Sask 5. BC East: 1. Hamilton 2. Toronto 3. Ottawa 4. Montreal

BC Lions @ SaskJones Implosions (preseason game)
What I don't understand is Justin Dunk reported that the BC players declined PR spots and thus were considered FAs... no problem with that... but then he also says that Sask has to add them to the active roster immediately... if they were FAs then could they not be added to any part of the roster?

Bombers Opener June 24 ... (also Laine Day!)
YES! YES! YES! YES!.... big fan of this move...

Around The League Off Season Discussion
I'm surprised Dillon Guy would not accept a PR spot... maybe his ego was high since he was considered a "first round talent" but obviously fell in the draft due to his injury concerns... I would have guessed he would be willing to stick around for at least one year on the PR...

Royal Blue uniforms are officially back!!
This made me laugh... but I am legitimately wondering the same thing...

Final Cuts
I was thinking the same thing... don't remember much from him in practice/games... I agree with you, Flanders would be a much better back up.... but you simply can't ignore the ratio, and that's all there is to it... There's no chance Castillo makes the game day roster... you simply can't DI two kickers...

BC Lions @ SaskJones Implosions (preseason game)
I'll qualify this by agreeing that it's meaningless... but it sure is fun to see Sask be the only 0-2 team in pre-season...

Wylie post practice
I gotta wonder if Butcher has any interest in switching sides... he must know the chances of career longevity and big pay days are much higher as an O-lineman... unless you're one of the few exceptions like Doug Brown or Ted Laurent...

Winning solves all... if they perform well on the field, all will be forgiven... Just like if Kelly had won his last game here and made the playoffs, things certainly would have gone down differently... but yes, completely agree with you...

First cuts
guy in the video sounds like he says dee-EH-kay... I'm sure either one is good...

Throw the ball downfield
O-line play is more about technique than size... but also Bryant (6'5, 311), Daniels (6'4, 312), Goossen (6'4, 305), Chungh (6'4, 300), Neufeld (6'6, 312), Keeping (6'5, 300), and Bond (6'6, 329) are all adequately sized to play O-line...

Can anyone verify the pronunciation of Dieke... here are the options I've considered... Deek, Dyke, DI-key, Dee-EK, DI-ek, DI-eek

First cuts
When I saw his picture and a breaking news aspect, I assumed it would be that he was announcing his retirement... for good, this time...
-
First cuts
The players with this designation beside their names are pretty much the only ones I have interest in... OG also acceptable (Offensive Guard or Original Gansta, either way I'm good)...
-
First cuts
midnight eastern... if you were referencing the Bombers announcements, they just chose to make them public the next day...

Preseason 2 - Ottawa
Randle might be one of the only players that actually stood out for having a good game...

BC Lions @ SaskJones Implosions (preseason game)
I just watched the highlights of the Tor-Ham game... I guess along with the new tailgate area they were also having a "dress like an empty seat" promotion night... good to see the fans were getting into it...

Don't forget Jones did manage to have a championship defense with Cauchy Muamba at safety last year... he has the ability to effectively hide someone at safety...
-
Preseason 2 - Ottawa
I watched the game on PVR, so kind of in fast motion... but that being said, I was concerned with a lot of things I saw last night... specifically on offense... receivers not getting open... O-line opening up some major holes... for the wrong team... Drew Willy holding onto the ball for too long... the offense being based around 3 yard dump passes (hopefully that can be attributed to the pre-season playbook)... I really don't feel comfortable with a bend-don't-break defence... I'd like to see more 2-and-outs and more pressure up front... we basically brought an entirely back-up D-line so I'm hoping that's a major factor.... never the less, this team has some work to do... and I really hope they fix up these things before the real tests being...

Preseason 2 - Ottawa
Our LS is actually a WR by trade... though no one ever expects to see him on the offense... unless you're referring to Tim Cronk, the back up (possibly 3rd string after Wild)... he's a FB...

Bombers host NHL draft party before opener
Draft starts at 6 central, kick off is at 7:30.... I imagine the Jets pick will happen some time before 6:30...
-
Odds and Sods - XGame 1 - Montreal at Winnipeg
Burnett at SAM and Leggett moving back to safety is certainly a possibility...

Cuts and Keepers
I will state definitively that Drew Willy WILL make the team... you heard it here first!
