while I'm typically a bigger fan of a pressure defense also... they only gave up 20 points and gave the offesnse more than ample opportunity to win this game... definitely wouldn't pin this one on the D...

That stat is beyond embarrassing... especially given the opportunities... a borderline competent offense would have had 40+ in that Hamilton game...

you're right, whether warranted or not, this game will shine a light on where the team is... this is considered a winnable game... though against a good opponent... if we can't win "winnable games" now, when will we ever??

I think you've got it right... and are along the sames lines as what I posted earlier... you don't need to replace NFL with CFL... but if you can slowly get an NFL fan on board during July and August... maybe he'll slowly start to watch games in Sept and Oct...

You can make the same argument that Taman's 2007 Bomber team was similar to his 2013 Sask team... Taman would be a hero around here if that 2007 game went differently... doesn't make his strategy any better, however...

this might be the best idea yet... tell him it's nice to watch football in the summer... I'm a fan of both leagues and when the NFL kicks off in the fall, I'm pretty much a Bomber fan (meaning I don't watch many non-Bomber CFL games) and an NFL fan... but it helps to start by scratching that football itch in the summer...

He'll be 30 years old by the end of the season... I'm not sure how much more he can develop... If we've seen the best of him I think we know we won't have a hall of famer... but if we can get the best of him most nights... I believe we have a guy who is good enough to lead us to a championship...

Charlie's elusiveness, burst, vision and ability to cut on a dime was truly remarkable... I don't think we've seen a RB in the CFL like him since... watching old clips of Charlie and Milt makes me wish I appreciated them more when they were here...

My thoughts... offense is still concerning... the inability to finish drives will hurt us in future games... and the only TD they did produce came on (what I thought was) a very questionable PI call and a pretty darn lucky catch by Smith... however, I thoroughly enjoyed our ability to actually control the ball and time of possession... Early in the 2nd quarter, they had a drive that was around 7-8 minutes... I honestly can't remember the last time we had a drive like that... but I do believe with the opportunities given to them, we should have put up 45 points... Andrew Harris, wow, if you don't love this guy just stop watching Bomber football now... Defense was stellar last night... off the top of my head... Leggett, Harris, Cummings, Shologan, and Wild were the stars, but no one really had a bad game... very happy with the win... looking forward (hoping, fingers-crossed, whatever!) to seeing more improvement by the offense next week...
