  1. He looks like a MLB type, waiting for Bass to injury hisself.
  2. Fatty Liver replied to IC Khari's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Cross the fingers that these injuries don't sideline him for multiple months or a season in the future, it doesn't take much.
  3. Looks like Knox may be falling down the depth chart if Burnette is dressing in front of him. Could also be that they want a look at Temple and Burnette is better than Knox on ST, I guess.
  4. I suspect that having Dressler, Smith and Denmark in the lineup at the same time would cause most D's fits if used well and I hope we get to see that lineup somewhere down the line. It's like having 3 jitterbugs on one line in hockey, they may be small but they can be hard to defend against. Before the last game McDuffie was virtually invisible against the Als (2-18), so he can play ghost just as well as Denmark. I understand his role as the burner, let's just hope that LaPo makes frequent use of his break away speed.
  5. You may be getting old but apparently you're less than half the age of "Old Bomber Fan".
  6. Regardless CGY is a better over-all team, they don't tangle with the Ti-Cats again until week 15 so we'll see what happens.
  7. Hard to choose between "hicks" or "morons"..... hmmm.....
  8. He derives his income from the Riders and he works for the team broadcaster, close enough.
  9. Who knows, maybe Willy is one of these people that can't perform well under pressure with somebody looking over their shoulder waiting to take their job. It certainly would rattle the confidence of most people. The starting job was basically his until it wasn't, perhaps it was conveyed to him clearly prior to the season that Nichols would take over if he couldn't produce W's. Before Nichols showed up he only had to worry about beating out the likes of Brohm and Marve.
  10. Yah, I don't get this bit either, Pedersen is literally putting his PR position in jeopardy with these repeated attacks on the league. Can't imagine Bob Irving ever doing something so classless. All that has to happen is for these attacks to garner the attention of TSN or a league sponsor that Rod is "damaging the product" and word will come down from on high for the Riders to sever all relations with the moron. On that day Rod will be the saddest little boy in Regina.
  11. It was so spectacularly bad, it needs to be highlighted.
  12. You forgot about the faked punt.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Willy and Harris screw up like this once already this season? I believe it was before the half but they let the clock expire trying to squeeze in an extra running play when they were already well within FG range. If that is the case the OC the QB and the RB need to try to remember not to repeat past mistakes.
  14. Yah, this has become a bit of a cycle in the last 2-3 years. Ray gets pulverized until he finally breaks and spends months recovering only to be injured shortly after he returns. Shame on Barker and Milanovich for not providing him with better protection when they've had years to build a solid team around him.
  15. It took O'Shea over two years to finally pull Willy from a game to change things up, he would need another two years to think about trying it again.
  16. Forgot to look out for Tennant, did anyone notice him, good or bad?
  17. It worked a whole lot better when Owens and Durie were in their prime because of their YAC abilitiy. They haven't been able to replace either of those components imo.
  18. Ricky Ray resurrects himself one more time.
  19. NWMP were there first before the railway, basically no population other than the local Indian tribes at the time in S. Alberta. Fort Whoop-Up is about as close as Western Canada ever got to the Wild West stuff and not surprisingly that was provoked by American whisky traders which the RCMP put the clamps on. The handful of outlaws that Western Canada had were usually American fugitives. Look at the old photos, few cowboy hats, mostly bowler hats.
  20. Not in Canada, they didn't. Sure farmers and ranchers probably had rifles but the NWMP didn't allow them to walk around with them just so they could shoot people when drunk. We were a British colony and governed as such, not an extension of the U.S.
  21. What does the image of guns have to do with Calgary? Pioneers wearing pistols on their hips never happened except maybe at the Stampede. Of course Edmonton probably never had an Eskimo population either...
  22. Bowman hasn't woken up yet so the Esks. may have a chance. From a Bomber perspective it's better if CGY wins which would focus the race for second on Wpg. and BC.
  23. Edmonton seems to have regressed to the 2014 version of themselves. Sadly not much of a contest.
  24. I believe in all sports 80% of the fan-base for any team knows little more about the actual team then what the MSM reports on, and simply goes by the win-loss record the club achieves and the product they see on the field. Within this group there is and will continue to be enormous discontent with Jones and his methods throughout Sask. and if this season plays out the way it's going, game attendance and merchandise sales will begin to take a hit once they move to their new stadium.
  25. That could be be a repeat performance of the Kelly-LeFors saga.
