Miller starting contract extension talks with Walters O'Shea
Great article. The bolded sentence below probably explains why he stuck with guys like Peach and Hurl as long as he did. “He built this team on character, and a lot of people say ‘that can’t happen in sports.’ Osh believes in that,” said Remple, the long snapper, who played against O’Shea and has worked for him in Toronto and Winnipeg. “When we make player moves and roster decisions, every conversation has Mike asking: ‘but how does this affect the team dynamic?’” Walters, the GM, relays. “It’s at the forefront of his thought process.” O’Shea will stand on the table and fight to keep an ‘effort guy’ around. He’ll go to the wall for someone who brings it. It matters immensely to him. But a winning team can’t just only have those. “We’re not all choir boys, but we respect the game and make sure one another are on point,” said Westerman, the rush end. “The players he’s brought in fit the profile of what he wants: guys who love playing, who bring toughness, who are not Boy Scouts, who are not afraid to hold others accountable.”

Week Of @Calgary Game (Injuries, Practice, etc)
O'Shea said on the Coach's Show he's out for a couple more weeks. He also said Adams accumulated 500 yards in 5 games.

Condolences. If you bought it at Costco you can take it back, even if you don't have a receipt.

Can we beat calgary?
They're only one injury to to BLM away from faltering. Tate is too slack to pick up the slack. Exhibit "A" Exhibit "B"

Can we beat calgary?
The Stamps have a good O-line but that won't prevent the Bombers finding a way to get to Mitchell if he sits in the pocket, he is going to have to scramble a lot to avoid the rush and his accuracy suffers when he does that. Sure hope Wild is back in the lineup. As for the O the RB is going to be critical for outlet passes, I hope they dress both Flanders and Harris.

3 stars plus HH week 13
Loffler is a revelation, when was the last time a Canadian player came out of the blue and performed like he has in his first season? I honestly can't recall another.

Miller starting contract extension talks with Walters O'Shea
It took a long, long time for O'Shea and Walters to field a competitive team but it appears they have finally reached their objective. They now have the personnel and depth to make the playoffs this season in the topsy-turvy CFL and are competitive enough to take a run at the Stamps. Right now they're riding on a magical wave of brotherly love that looks good on O'shea and will probably earn him his next contract. Continuing the winning trend after free agency this off-season will confirm whether they have the right personnel and coaching staff in place to progress in the playoffs or if a major upgrade at QB is necessary for them to become perennial challengers for the GC.

Eskies at Riders
Can't help feeling Benevides is in for a quick one and out as DC to be replaced by Noel Thorpe in the off-season. The Esks are looking more like the team they were 3 years ago than the team they were last year. Grand ole vets. better start playing for their jobs or there will be mucho turn-over of personnel for next year.

Chris Jones type contracts are bad for the CFL, they distort the salary structure and award megalomaniacs with too much power. Hope other teams see this as an epic failure and don't venture down this road. Not that this has anything to do with O'Shea's renegotiation.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
I think Wild was missed, he could have helped in shutting down Whittaker. Burnett had 4 tackles, Wild may have had 8-10.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Weird injury, from what I heard he lost a thumbnail but the way they escorted him to the dressing room with one guy supporting his arm it looked like a shoulder or elbow injury.- 3 stars plus HH week 13
Flanders looked good from the git go in TC, if it wasn't for Harris this guy would be their starting back.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Smith could be back next week.- 3 stars plus HH week 13
I vote for Nichols, he finally did what we were hoping he could and for once the O saved the D's ass.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Right, that might happen if they played for the Als.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Flanders is going to be stoked, I predict he runs wild.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg

Rod was just too stupid to realize that you don't bite the hand that feeds. The guy is a complete moron.- Toronto @ Winnipeg Depth Chart
I've watched every game so far, twice in fact. What I've seen is a Richie Hall pass D with a soft underbelly that allows for a lot of completions and yards gained underneath. The high tackle numbers by various members of the secondary and the LB crew attest to this strategy as they are often making tackles on completions that happen in front of them and are rarely caught in chase mode. Johnson, Fogg and Leggett cover the toughest SB's on each team but they also have to help out with the run game and cut off sweeps, so all 3 have difficult jobs. Johnson has made a number of outstanding plays since he returned from injury and is the main reason for their 7 game winning streak. He should be given a place in the Ring of Honour tomorrow in place of Leo Lewis who doesn't really care anymore . Pfffftttt! to all Johnson haters.- Bombers Trade Willy for DB TJ Heath, Acquire Kevin Glenn
Tajh Boyd- Toronto @ Winnipeg Depth Chart
So Johnson has become this year's version of a "whipping boy"? Too bad Macho lost his starters job and this important designation at the same time. Why is it so necessary to single out a player as a problem when he has played no better or worse than any other member of the secondary? Every member of that secondary has been burned on occasion (Adams, Fogg, Frederick, Roberts, Jones) and yet they have still performed remarkably well as a unit despite the continual rotation of players. Heath does not automatically get Johnson's job, he has to prove he is a better player on the field, within this secondary. - Miller starting contract extension talks with Walters O'Shea
