Blue Bombers - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
You realize practice time was altered and reduced at the request of the CFLPA right? As in the players voted for these amendments. Is your schtick to be the disgruntled outsider against both sides?

Yes, but at what cost? Re-signing Ford is less important than re-signing Brady was, because as good as he is, he's much easier to replace. $140k is the final offer.

Not much of a culture change, Mace used Argo bad apple Chris Edwards right up until the CFL threw him out of the league. Have to give Bob Dyce credit, he tried to work with Armstead but ultimately made the decision he was a negative force on his team and the CFL.

Cedric Wilcots is available as is AC Leonard, preferred when they were pursuing the long lean pass-rushers in the mold of Jeffcoat and Jefferson, the thicker DE's maybe more powerful but they're not as quick.

Earlier in the game Zach was trying to get in Brown's face, anyone know if there was another incident that caused his outrage? TSN did not provide any detail.

There's this guy named Tyrrell Pigrome, highly skilled, devastating ability, doesn't need a playbook, will play for cheap and perform the uncanny.

CFL+ and a VPN, you can sign up for Nord VPN 30 day free trial, it's legit. Takes about 30 minutes to download and sort it all out. Norway has worked well for me in the past but there are hundreds of choices. https://nordvpn.com/risk-free-vpn/?srsltid=AfmBOooHXnmKBRjrFzITYulijgXBbjz3mol8Bo96gIdZePCnK9SMm7FW

If he misses the playoffs, Huff might force Dickie to replace himself with another coach, ideally he loses the GM job and gets one more season as coach to turn it around.

Bombers at Riders LDC-GDT
Doubt there will be 400-600 Rider fans in attendance at the BB, no ticket availability and not interested in witnessing another beating.

If Maier is known as Mayor McCheese at 219 lbs., Bonner has to be considered the Big Arch, packing 234 lbs. on his 6'-0" frame, none of which looks to be from lifting weights. Better yet, Double Pounder.

Good, that info. should be included on every depth chart published not just some.

Swallow this, Edwards became a billionaire selling CDN. oil, moved to Switzerland so he wouldn't have to pay pennies on the dollar in taxes for the wealth he extracted from CDN soil.

Where did you see that? The most concise information that can be provided on a depth chart and someone thinks "we don't need that info., they'll eventually figure it out".

The 30, and the (d)evolution of our front scheme.
50% chance Schmekel signs with Sask. this off-season, what should give him pause for thought is they make no use of Natls. on their O-line, so he'd remain a backup till that changes.

I seem to recall he took the Bomber signing bonus and purchased an ugly green pickup truck with the signing bonus shortly afterwards and had the temerity to post photos of himself standing beside it mocking the Bombers.

Ayers may have surpassed him on ST and as a LB as well, same height but 20 lbs. more beef.

I think you misinterpreted my comment, it's up to the trading partner to renegotiate Zach's contract before accepting the terms of the trade, if he disagrees to renegotiate, it's unlikely he plays football anywhere and eventually gets cut. This would be the worst case scenario for the Bombers as they would have to honour his current contract if there were no takers.

Bombers at Riders LDC-GDT
Strev. would not have survived beyond his 3rd start, he'd be banged up and 6 game bound.

No, they make it clear to the player and his agent before the trade this is what needs to happen if he is to join their team. Haven't seen a player contract yet a CFL team has not been willing to rip up and reconfigure more to their liking.

2024 Banjo Bowl Talk
Depends if he wants to continue playing football or not, Bombers trade him away and the team that takes him does so with the understanding that his contract will be renegotiated, it's been done before.

Don't see that as a problem, should be some teams still interested in Zach if he's forced to renegotiate his contract. Both V.A. and Trevor Harris have been there, done that.

Elite or not, he could do good things if he landed in Wpg.

A wise GM might take notice V.A. is likely to become available in the off-season, snapping him up like he did Zach could buy Walters another 4-5 years of elite QB serviceability. Doing so would be better than milking an old cow for a year or two more in the hopes of extracting it's last remaining milk.
