Regular Season - Bomber News, Developments & Speculation
Who knows, Johnson is coming off the 6 game so they would have had to make room for him.

Regular Season - Bomber News, Developments & Speculation
Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming #Bombers release National LB Nehemie Kankolongo, who was signed and played two games while Jesse Briggs was out with an injury. That was quick, noticed Kankolongo on the sidelines but didn't see him on the field.

Gaydosh has had injury issues for awhile, he was damaged goods when the Riders traded for him.

Commissioner gets it right
I'd really like to know what the structure of the command center is, if it's just one guy Ambrosie is showing initiative, no reason to believe that he won't address the problem in more detail in the off-season.

Winnipeg @ Ottawa: Are they due?
The point I am attempting to make is that Ottawa was 8-9-1 last year and it looks like they will be about the same this year, thus they are not a good team to pick as a building block role model that can consistently challenge for the Cup like the Stamps. Sure any team with a .500 record can fluke up a G.C. appearance especially coming out of the East but where will they be the following year, among the strongest teams in the league or back to puttering around .500?

Yah, but where is Ottawa this season? It seems like we're looking for different things, you want a G.C. asap and you don't care how they go about getting it. I want them to improve their odds by continuing to build the team until they are legitimate contenders for the G.C. every year, like Cgy. is and Edm. is once again becoming. That necessitates finishing in upper reaches of the West Division consistently. Fair chance they won't accomplish it this year but in the end that should be the goal of the current regime.

Sure slipping into the playoffs would be fine but it isn't a great way to pursue a reasonable shot at a GC appearance, if they want to be considered as one of the better teams in the league they need to be fighting for first or second, not fourth place. This version of the team has a serious shelf life, with Harris, Dressler Leggett and Westerman to name a few nearing the end of their careers. If they can't make a move this year it has to happen next year as within two years we'll be looking at wholesale change finding new stars to lead the team.- Winnipeg @ Ottawa: Are they due?
That's the same descriptor he uses for LaPo, Hurl, Hall, Willy, Nichols, Goosen, Hardrick, his paper-boy....etc. etc.- Winnipeg @ Ottawa: Are they due?
Comes down to numbers, they're currently sitting in 4th place at 3-2. If they want to make up ground on the teams above them they have to start putting together consecutive wins and beat up on the Eastern teams while they can. If they lose to the RB's and beat the Ticats, they'll be sitting at 4-3, possibly 4-4 after the Esks game. If they want to match last years record of 11-7 dicking around .500 at mid-season won't help and I don't think they're likely to string together 7 straight like they did last year to make up ground. If you accept that the only thing that matters is making the playoffs that's fine but I think they have to get winning into their DNA so that it becomes the expected norm.- Wiecek's Article

This game will prove whether the Bombers are pretenders or contenders, if they are as good as we think they should be, now is the time to prove it and go on a roll.- Sick Bay
Ed Tait @EdTaitWFC T.J. Heath, Brandon Alexander, Weston Dressler are in gear, but not wearing helmets at this morning's #Bombers practice.- Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)

If Dressler can't go this week it would be nice to see Thorpe run some of those fly sweeps.- Winnipeg @ Ottawa: Are they due?
Very pleased that they've used LeFevour in a few situations this year that make use of his mobility advantage, showing LaPo realizes his value as a dangerous weapon close to the goal line and that they're not caught up on a fixed QB pecking order. Use all weapons.- Sick Bay
I'm pretty sure Medlock was training a few other holders including Nichols, if Dressler needs to sit good chance to dress Flanders.- IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
