Mike O'Shea's leadership
i mentioned it at the start of the year when O'Shea described his coaching approach that I hope he doesn't adopt Jeff Ren bold approach to being loyal to crappy players. He's a first year head coach so hopefully he'll understand that at this level 100 percent effort from certain players is not enough, they need to perform, huge difference between the two. My guess is Jeff Ren bold would tell you he found out this the hard way.

GDT - Winnipeg @ Ottawa RedBlacks - 6:00pm CST
They could lose every remaining game and it would still be a huge improvement from last year, I think you are forgetting just how bad they were last year. Out of the game before the first quarter was done more nights than not, at least this time when they're getting beaten it's after a close game. I just don't subscribe to this logic. I think it matters where the losses and wins happen. If we had started off this bad, and recently won 5 of 6 I could agree. But were regressing so sharply that has to be taken into account. If we lose every game remaining in the season, including to a terrible Ottawa team, this team is in deep trouble next season. Wins in July and August mean nothing if the team completely falls apart. I just don't get how that's not understood,. This statement is where the debate lays. My opinion is it appears they have presently plateaued, not regressed sharply, with a better core to work with moving forward. Also supporting cast needs major upgrading. Another way of assessing is are our best five guys (core) we have now better than our last years best five guys (core)? I'd say yes.

Drew Tate interview
This is gold. I'm going to use Tate's response anytime anyone questions me on anything. "Why didn't you change the toliet paper roll?" "Play Calling" "Why are you such a jerk?" "Play Calling" "What were you thinking?" "Play Calling" Awesome, thanks Drew.

Interesting Quote in Pentons weekly CFL Blitz
You're probably right unless we lose the majority of our remaining games, then it might give reason to look at it more closely.

Stoudemire placed on the 6 game...season over
Not to derail this thread but who is this dead weight you're referring to? I'll take a guess. His number comes before 2.

Durant likely to return this season
Writing as a CFL fan, is it bad that I really don't care whether Durant comes back or not this year? Great athlete, has come a long way in understanding our game, but there's always been that 'something' about Durant that annoys me. Annoying in how he approaches the game, his teammates and the rest of the league. It's hard to put that feeling into words other than he doesn't appear to come across as authentic. Hope I'm wrong for his sake. Just my opinion as a CFL fan.

Are We Making Progress?
Only because I think this is a good topic to discuss, I will make it easy for you. imo the only significant injury that has cost us has been at long snapper. Zach Anderson, Nic Moore, and Jason Vega. and....how exactly do we know that? Have their replacements made mistakes that lead directly to losses. Are you suggesting no top receiver in the lineup hasn't directly contributed to our losses? Key word being contributed. I said this, The injury excuse just avoids the question, it doesn't answer it, it's either yes or no, then you can go into the reasons why. I don't buy the injury excuse either but because it's past noon now, I'm not really understanding exactly what you're saying with this line. Are you just challenging people to be more specific? Not having a healthy Nic Moore in the lineup has directly contributed to us losing games. Why? Because his replacement hasn't matched his level of productivity (see stat sheets). That's not an excuse, that's just a fact. However, that's on us though of not having the necessary depth to maintain his level of productivity necessary to help us win. As I've said before, lately Calgary is a good example of showing some success in this area. All you're doing is projecting though. Last game we almost doubled Hamilton in offensive output but still lost. We lost because of a blocked punt leading to a TD and bad penalty at the end of the game, not because Nic Moore wasn't in the lineup. Hmmm okay, yes I'm projecting however I am using his previous game productivity to suggest without that in the lineup helps decrease our chances for success. Not to make anyone's head spin, one could suggest you also are projecting about reasons for our loss. We have no idea what would have happened if our punt wasn't blocked. There are so many different scenarios, some good, some bad. As for the penalty, completely out of our control.

Bombers add two REC - Rashad Lawrence and Justin Wilson
Watching Romby Bryant use his speed to go to wrong area of the field is frustrating. When this happens, speed is useless.

Chad Kackert signs with Argos
i wouldn't call it that, his injury was a little more serious than what Lumsden hadI'm sensing Jesse Lumen 2.0 you're absolutely right, it was more of a reference in staying healthy

FNF - Montreal @ Ottawa / Sask. @ Edmonton
Sorry but no, White is not a freak, give credit where credit is do. Their oline and blocking schemes deserve the lion's share of credit. Because tv doesn't show what all is going on, I'm hoping White, on top of his strong man poses, was appreciative of the gaping holes he received all night and plans to provide some Alberta beef to his hogs.

Edmonton Radio Ad
This is really the thing for me.....we've had some of the league's all-time worst teams over the last decade, and the fans STILL sell the place out. The Riders would be lucky to get 20k with those teams. The difference between Bombers fans and Riders fans, is we have more "die hards", but less "casuals". The Riders have WAY MORE casual fans than any other franchise and maybe even more than some NHL franchises in Canada. They're the ones who buy the merch because it's "cool" to do so right now. They badly need another extended run of Al Ford years to thin out their ranks a little and shut them up but good... Regardless of era, the way I look at it is SOME Rider fans believe that they are more diehard to their team than any other fan of another team. They are incorrect. Some Bomber posters here live and breathe the Bombers equally as much as diehard Sask fans. It's that simple.

Eskimos @ Ticats
Adarius Bowman is a like a good golfer. He has all the skiils needed to be great, but can't consistently get them all working together.

QB Status - Willy to Start Saturday

He'd look good in blue and gold though especially this year.- Stamps @ Als
listen, in terms of the crop of gb's availlable, especially at the back-up position, Tate probably leads at the best option any team has this season to have available from the bullpen, crapper today or not. For example, I'm thinking I'm not taking Brohm over Tate. But hey, Tate doesn't play for us so the more he caps the better.- Argos @ Leos - GDT - Burke's D vs Glenn
In my opinion, his facemaking penalty was worthy of an ejection.- Argos @ Leos - GDT - Burke's D vs Glenn

Glencross is from Kindersley. Do I cheer for Calgary? No, I hate them. born in Kindersley maybe but he always said he was from Red Deer, plus he was an Oiler before he was a Flame so I don't know what that has to do with anything. Fact is there are a lot of gappers who love Eberle and the Oilers because of it. I understand when you say you're a penguins fan, tons of kids are because Crosby, but the Oilers have sucked for a long time it's puzzling when kids pick them up unless there's some other connection. With some, maybe because of their parents i.e., Gretzky, Messier, Coffey, Fuhr et al era- Jon Cornish Not Travelling To Montreal
