    Who?
  2. I'm just glad he's back and ready to go. Willy to Dressler for six has a nice ring to it.

It's just shows how we got the best pick number this year. Toronto is in a position to second guess themselves, we are not. Unless of course, Chevy goes off course and picks the next Alexandre Daigle.

I'm not a politician but no, they're not all non smart. There are some good ones regardless of ideology.

Maybe we should go the route that if any human being decides to do any nutty thing and tries to tie it to any type of religion, spirituality, the collective we don't use the word 'religion', 'spiritual' anywhere in describing their acts. They can say it all they want but we will not recognize their words and their deeds as any other than insane. e.g., You're (there you go Noeller, I used it right :-) not part of a religious movement, you're part of an insane movement you freak of nature.
  6. You're missing the point. no where did I reference one dimensional, as i said, they share in the blame, that's a fact. If you think otherwise we're watching two different teams as you can't use your goto, 'your not from here' argument.
  7. That's one part for sure, but being a transplanted Manitoban for 11 years in Sherwood Park and being bombarded with Oiler intel, the Oiler draft picks you cite are not exempt from blame. That's the way team sports work. If they think otherwise and/or you think these players have completely fulfilled their expectations to date and have played no role in the Oilers doldrums of late, I'm glad they're on the Oilers team and not the Jets.

Yes agree although he'll have arguably better receivers/running backs/protection if it comes to him starting which is encouraging to me if Willy is unable to play.
  9. Watching Jones and Durant yelling at each other will be a delight.
  10. Just no. If I was forced to choose, I'd keep Myers over Trouba. What would the good scouts say who grades out better when assessing all characteristics? I say Meyers. Plus, technically, and I'm sure I will be corrected, don't we have cap space to keep all?

Okay for arguments sake lets say you're right. What has that got to do with him not answering the question right away? Because the media doesn't treat his opponents the same is why I delay my response in saying I'm not a racist?
  12. HardCoreBlue replied to Blueballz's post in a topic in General Discussion
    Sure, explain that one.

For all you Trump supporters, explain this one for me. I also saw him take the similar approach with an interviewer who asked him about the KKK Duke's endorsement of him and what he thought about that. The explanation can't include 'other people do the same thing'. I'm not talking about other people here. I'll get to them later. It also can't include, 'he's doing it so he doesn't lose votes'.
  14. I'd take Ladd back with open arms. We have the cap space for a reasonable contract. C or not, he would be an asset to our young core on and off the ice. Ladd doesn't come across to me as someone who wouldn't come back because he doesn't get the C. Who knows, maybe he'd like not having it. I agree with TUP, 3 years max.
  15. That's why he has a street named after him, not potato chips.
  16. Bubblewrap him, take the hit (easy for me to say, not my loot), start fresh at the goaltending position.
  17. With locking up Connor, acquiring Dano, Helle'buyck's development period in the big leagues and having the 2nd overall draft pick and knowing Chevy's history and where we are at, can't see him pulling the pin on a major trade anytime soon unless of course it's a no brainer. More likely we will see a half dozen minor trades if there any takers on players like Stuart, Stafford, Burmistrov, Hutchinson, Postma etc. If anything, we may focus more at acquiring a upgrade in Goaltending to push Helle and Pav/Hutch. I'd say out of all the positions, that's where the most uncertainty is even with Helle's l potential. I'm not sure who we could realistically think about acquiring.
  18. I think you answered your own question. Bang on. He'll bring it, and we will reap it's benefits Something hard to measure with statistics in terms of impact impact but most know how bad we need it on this team especially as you noted on the offensive side of ball and I'd add in the dressing room and practices/team functions. I like Smith, glad he's ours, but hands down Dressler.
  19. How about this one, something completely different than what's a normal reaction to scoring. Every touchdown we score the fans and players do the whispering motion and sound to Psyche out the opponent. That would be an ironically loud sound in the stadium. No, okay I'll go back to the drawing board. Oh and I'm with the posters who think scoring more touchdowns would be nice.
  20. Thing is, he made the decision to blow the team up and in some cases, imo, deleting quality 'square plugs' he already had in place. So, if I was a fan of this team, which thank God I'm not (whatever God you may or may not believe in), then yes I would expect it is up to him to patch certain areas together in an expedient way because he already had it in place but chose his own pegs. Okay I'm going to stop posting about Chris Jones. Go Blue!
  21. Jones and company are going to get this incredibly right or going to get this incredibly wrong. Nothing in-between here is my guess. Wonder how Jones will handle the media and their fans if the ship hits an iceberg hard. Right now, he's still in the honeymoon phase.
  22. HardCoreBlue replied to Ducky's post in a topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
We have lots of cap room. Not excessive at all imo. I think it's more of a test of how willing Ownership is willing to spend to the cap.
  23. I think it's more appropriate to say NHL coaching experience isn't mandatory. I would suggest having NHL coaching experience is relevant to consider when looking for a suitable head coach of a professional hockey team..
  24. How about, they didn't cost us the game. For me, Hurl and Buknor are no where near the 'we need them in the lineup or we're sunk' status. More of the, "we are managing things with them in the lineup' status.
