  1. Okay I'm good now. :-). We will just win every game 10-3.
  2. Just out of curiosity, how many Bomber fans would take BLM instead of the Nichols/Streveler combo we currently have?
  3. Right but using the Oilers as an example, no matter who you have coaching the team, something is amiss with the team DNA. When saying losing the room, that implies a coaching issue and sometimes (not all) that can be misleading. It's probably a case you can't fire the team so get rid of the coach.
  4. Or maybe they have the Oilers issue with talent and effort. As Hitchcock put it, the coaches can't want it more than the players. I'd love to see Carlyle here as an addition to our coaching staff.
  5. Let's revisit this post in November 2019, barring any significant injury. Alot of us hope you're wrong.
  6. Wow brutal injuries. He got a two for one package on that. Hope he can bounce back, he's one of the good ones.
  7. They'll probably put up a banner for it though.
  8. I'd be more focused on quality chances we give versus what we generate. That's the telling stat. Pure shots allowed can sometimes be misleading, i.e. perimeter shots, good sight lines for the goaltender etc.
  9. Oops wrong thread. Sorry mods.
  10. Knowing I have an unhealthy hate-on for the Leafs, here's unrealistically hoping for five years of mediocrity play from Matthews.
  11. Or he signs longer term with a bit of a discount.
  12. I can't believe I'm saying this but if it wins me a Grey Cup this coming season, I'll take that for 200 dollars Alex. 1000 years without a Grey Cup makes one thirsty.
  13. I'd take him in a heartbeat. MOS would sort him out.
  14. Also I'm thinking we haven't given up trying to re-sign Myers knowing our cap space will be a challenge with all our other contract negotiations and ones in place.
  15. I hope you're right and like I said I still think they back up the brink truck for him. But there have been cases in history that teams can't come to an agreement with a young elite player ergo some other team does.
  16. Yup. I guess I just don't want to see us with a Nylander issue on our hands.
  17. If they can't come to an agreement and then we trade him.
  18. I think/hope we will still back up the Brink truck for him. I'd hate for another team to reap the benefits of the growing pains he is going through now.
  19. Getting spoiled the last couple of years with these Jets. Everytime this team loses two in a row, you feel the bottom is about to fall out. Help me ease this unwarranted concern with a good bee drubbing tonight.
  20. Going out on his terms.
  21. Chiarelli’s successor facing NHL's most challenging fix . Jermain Franklin Challenging? Ask McDavid what he needs and make it happen. :-)
  22. Mikko Koskinen agrees. :-)
  23. Nope. Dallas Eakins fault. :-) Sorry couldn't resist. I have no sympathy for the Oilers as growing up having to face their power house teams. They can wait another 20 years collecting first round draft picks on the way. It's our time now.
  24. I would take Barry Trotz as a coach any day.
  25. A good way to prove that is ask yourself if you took the best player off of every NHL team how would they fare? Out of the 31 teams, I say Edmonton would struggle the most.
