  1. Since the Bombers have been playing down (or up) to the level of their competition all season, maybe this “tougher” (debatable) schedule will bring out the best in them.
  2. Let the outrage begin.

    When cousins marry…
  4. Ok thanks. My screw-up. Que sera sera.
  5. Is that an Andrew Harris joke?
  6. Rich, I thought I had picked Hamilton this past week but the board says I picked Toronto. Is it possible the “games” section is showing an error, or did I just hit the wrong button? Is there a way to check my voting, or is the “games” column the official record?
  7. You literally said this yourself 3 days ago to another poster who yelled bias about a TV commentator: SpeedFlex27 Posted Thursday at 09:53 PM That's bias? It's his opinion.
  8. Another big star, another failed drug test. https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/12/sport/padres-fernando-tatis-jr-suspended-mlb/index.html

Go back to Russia, you socialist commie! (I love the irony of MAGAts always screaming this insult when their dear leader offers such effusive praise for Putin. If they had brains I bet it would hurt them to twist themselves into such knots trying to logic their way around it).
  10. I wouldn’t hand the keys over to Shiltz (guess I should learn how to spell his name properly) just yet. We saw a similar coming out party in Montreal in an early game from him IIRC and he got a bunch of praise for winning a game with so-so stats, then he turned out to be completely meh. For now, keep the platoon system with him and Evans (seems to be what works best for Evans and keeps him from being mentally overwhelmed).
  11. In the Bomber game in Montreal, called against the Als. Cost them a TD.
  12. Me too. Figured Andrew Harris out was a bigger deal than Evans. Also no tape on Schlitz who can put up a big game before teams figure him out.
  13. Yeah it seems a bit broader than the way the rule reads, but I guess the “maintain elevation” part of the rules essentially means “don’t jump into the opposing line and end up still off your feet”. I know they also changed stuff to not allow any hitting of the long snapper while their head is down, so safety first. Just funny that we haven’t seen that call in over a decade, then we get 2 in 2 weeks. I suppose the refs were told to crack down in a mid-season review.
  14. Wait, I was told stuff like that never happens in the NFL with their pro broadcasts, only on the bush league TSN. Was that a Suitor overdub?
  15. BDI over Sargent Sundae.
  16. Open question for the group - when Agudosi heals up, and assuming everyone else stays healthy, who would be your starting 5 receivers? A) Ellingson, Schoen, Bailey, Demski, Wolitarsky B ) Ellingson, Schoen, Agudosi, Demski, Wolitarsky C) Ellingson, Schoen, Agudosi, Bailey, Demski (drop to 7 starting Canucks) D) Ellingson, Schoen, Bailey, Wolitarsky, Agudosi (make Demski the back-up RB to Oliviera) E) remove Oliviera and run a six receiver set! F) other
  17. I don’t know about that, but the Dalai Lama likes them . So I got that going for me, which is nice.
  18. Too confusing. To get them to the concept of 3, Just tell them to get 2 friends and add up all the teeth.
  19. Good catch rebus. Thanks for the correction! Mea culpa.
  20. Don’t forget the stat where Harris leads big time - number of helmets lost in game.
  21. Ok, does anyone see any of these players NOT dressing?
  22. Well, Bob Irving has been around to broadcast for 5 Bomber championships (yes I count the CFRW years because CJOB still did the pre and post-game, and Bob also covered them with CFN TV network) and even if Rod Peterson was around since the inception of the Riders he hasn’t matched that total.
  23. As far as I know, no one person has more than 2 Saskatchewan Grey Cup rings (correction - rebus identified one person with 3, see his comments). Contrast that with the dozens of Blue Bombers (from 1958-62 and again from 1984-90) who have 3 or 4 and the potential for dozens more this year to get their 3rd. BTW, the Stampeders equipment manager just celebrated his 50th year and 1000th game with the club this past weekend. He has 6 Grey Cup rings and 12 appearances.
