I am not saying we should go chasing quarterbacks but there has to be concern about Collaros, considering his degrading performances in the past 2-3 years. I hope that Walters has a viable plan B in case Collaros gets off to another poor start and/or gets dinged again.

Nope. Wilson and Dolegala were certainly better than Collaros was at that time. Her answer to him was probably along the lines of "there isn't enough beer in the stadium".

Really, it was O'Shea's decision to put Collaros back in when there was a potentially viable alternative that cost the win.

If the backup QBs were not good enough to replace a QB with a buggered-up index finger on his throwing hand, why the Hell were they there at all? That would seem to be a huge waste of money. Or would that have been a big FU to Walters for forcing him to tt Nichols and start Collaros way back? Because O'Shea.

Disagree. The Bombers as a team played very poorly due to several key players (who have been outed repeatedly here). We were letting the game slip away before Collaros was injured and he was trending downwards way before that.

When a GM sees the team deteriorate and lose three winnable Grey cup games in a row for the same reasons,, he had better step in as has happened before or he will be unemployed.

I think Walters' biggest failing is that he has allowed O'Shea to keep fading/faded players and let promising newbies go.

If the rumours about a lingering injury left over from the 2023 season were true, that would explain all that. Neuf is a good guy and effective when healthy, so lets us hope he is over whatever was limiting him, and hope further that he doesn't have to compensate for a new right guard and incompetent center. There's a fair bit of money to be gained by dumping at least three veterans who, frankly, were not worth their salaries.

I fear that we will see LaPolice back again. It wouldn't be a complete disaster, but it would be a clear signal that O'Shea is going to dish out more of what we've had.

Given the way the team rolled over in the Grey Cup game for the third time and struggled through much of the year with the same old problems, there ought to be a significant overhaul rather than a minor tweak or two. So long a O'Shea is Head Coach, I am not confident this is going to happen- the lack of announcements about Jake Thomas and Bighill is worrisome.

Collaros' finger injury was just the cherry on top of a dismal performance by the offence and an inability of the OC to compensate for the Argo defensive plan.
