TNF Argos @ Riders GDT
Game is booooring.... but competitive, so there's that.

If you look at our current lot of receivers, yes,

GTD WEEK 4 - BOMBERS @ STAMPS
True, but there has to be an element of trust between the head coach and his boss. Walters relies on O'Shea to tell him if Colllaros is going to be the best option going forward and then Walters negotiates a contract on the strength of that report, or trades him. That applies to the other players as well. If it comes down to the GM overriding his coach, there is trouble in River City.

Obviously, as he played for the Riders last year.

SNF Ti Cats @ Red Blacks GDT
Not emotionally invested at all in who wins tonight, so I can enjoy the game for what it is.

Agreed that our O-line woes begin with Kolankowski, but I also think it impacts Neufeld the most because he has to baby-sit Lofton, at least until Lofton gets up to speed. I cannot think of any rational reason that Eli is not our starting center. That sort of thing infuriates knowledgeable fans and will cost O'Shea his tenure here.

He will, of course, be paid out, but if he is deemed to be the problem, then a quick euthanasia is the best course.

GTD WEEK 4 - BOMBERS @ STAMPS
Agreed for the most part, but veterans age out and there is a good reason why the #2 wolf is programmed to challenge the alpha wolf if there is any sign of weakness in the pack leader. It is ruthless, but it keeps the pack healthy and the alpha males and females on their toes. BTW: I think the Bombers will go 0 and 5 before notching their first "W" and flirt with .500 over the season. And either O'Shea gets the road map and apple or he and Walters will exit stage right together. I think Walters and Miller will not let the team stagger along to the end of the season. Five consecutive losses ought to be enough to bring out the tumbril(s)'

To the surprise of absolutely no one. A good guy and decent QB but brittle.

Blue Bombers - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
We would probably still be dealing with crap, just a different kind of crap. I seem to recall American GMs and Head Coaches who detested and barely tolerated any and all Canadian players, benching them whenever they could. I doubt that the current dilemma has anything to do with passports, just a phenomena called "displacement". O'Shea aged out of playing in the CFL I would bet that was a major component of his identity, and the loss of that caused him a lot of anguish, particularly if he did not foresee/accept the inevitability of retirement. So now he probably sees the same processes at work in players whose careers are winding down and whom he likes and it evokes a lot of unfinished business for him as he identifies with them. If he cannot come to terms with this, he needs to go as the business end of the sport is implacable.

Well, we really need comic relief at this point, so this is welcome news.

Blue Bombers - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
Hard to tell from a distance but O'Shea may be so emotionally invested in keeping "his" underperforming players that it may come down to having to fire him before needed and obvious changes can be made. If Whitehead is brought in, it will destroy my confidence in Walters despite all the good work he has done. Whitehead had speed, but was brittle with mediocre hands. We now have a good kick returner and he may also be a good RB and/or receiver. To my view, he is just another aging veteran with his best years behind him, and we have more than enough of those.

GTD WEEK 4 - BOMBERS @ STAMPS
From 3Downnation: Zach will be back Though he didn’t return after halftime, it appears franchise quarterback Zach Collaros will be just fine. Mike O’Shea told 680 CJOB the decision to sit the veteran quarterback was “precautionary” while commending Streveler’s ability to run the offence.

You pays your money and you takes your chances. Much of life and sports is a gamble.

They sure as spit look bad, but maybe we should withhold judgement until we have a decent D-line who become familiar enough with each other to gel as a unit.

FNF Als @ Argos GDT
fajardo has silenced a lot of his critics, and many of them were in the forum. What detracts from his performances is his whining, particularly when he is sacked.

GTD WEEK 4 - BOMBERS @ STAMPS
If we go 0 and 5 next weekend, we be out of the earned playoff spot and the laughingstock of the league. Because 6 out of 9 teams will make the playoffs, we will probably stumble into the playoffs, but get out butts kicked. So many here saw this coming, so why did our management not?
