Forgot about him. Any thoughts on Ayers vs the others who got cut? Noticed Thomas and Petrishen more, but maybe earlier in the games before the defense got worn out.

Glad, relieved even that Adams made the AR. Gemmel the only surviving LB and he just made the practice roster. All the great linebacker prospects Petrishen, Moses and Tre Thomas cut. What a god damned shame. Upshaw and Chris Smith too. Sigh.

Hyped on Devin Adams. Hoping he gets reps in the next game and goes Stove on some opposing o-linemen. That push up the middle along with the new rotation could be 2019-2021 level goodness.

Bombers more than held their own with Streveler just hitting stride before getting sat down. Starting D was fast and effective. The rest pretty meh with not a lot to go on due to very poor qb play. Sheahan’s normal punting was pretty good… too bad our ST coach was allowed to go rogue all last year. For all the talk about a renewed focus on discipline, Riders still look have have d-bag vibe to them.

The second half has devolved into what I usually assume preseason games are like. Raw rookie qb’s dazed and confused and all the vets sitting, leaving the depth and lower tier rookies looking kinda lost.

Team speed on defence seems way up. I know it’s only preseason but we got some fast looking newcomers showing the goods today.

Chad Kelly took John Hodge for a ride and made him look like a gullible idiot. Elsewhere on 3dn Dinwiddie told Dunk he heard about the concussion from his wife, who only saw on their site, and “who is as bad for reading 3dn as he is”. Hahhahahahaha what a backhand to them. Chad Kelly himself on cfl.ca “I’ve moved on from that game, I’ve even worked out twice”. Wow some serious powers of recovery who had an out of body concussion experience right after stinking out the stadium. Newsflash Chad, that feeling was utter humiliation, not a concussion 🙄

That actually makes it so much worse on the part of the team… don’t report a concussion so they can put that player back on the field? That could have been a Tua Tagovailoa/Miami Dolphins level fiasco. Ridiculous.

Jeff Hecht getting the hook for BA, plus using Taylor and Maston completely transformed the back end… that said we still needed a qb with Nichols out and Strev on one leg. McGuire wasn’t taking us to the promised land by himself so Zach was also a vital ingredient to the cup run. It can be both.

That 2016 winning streak with Nichols as QB1 was awesome. Guy could run, lots of zip on the ball and played with an urgency that the offense bought into.
