No doubt the roster is super frustrating to try and puzzle out. If we were 6-0 or 5-1, playing the Elks at home and heading into a bye week, I could understand some of it… but the quality and inconsistency of play has all of us wanting to see meaningful changes. Now it just looks like the coaching staff is just trying to survive until the break.

Everyone did their part in the loss but the offense getting 3 or 4 first downs in the second half, dropping the ball, fumbling the ball, throwing interceptions can’t be overlooked. If the best defense is a good offense, well that phase was MIA at the worst time as well.

Part of it is expectations are so high for Schoen. To most casual Bomber fans the occasional dropped ball is a catastrophe when they’re expecting miracle plays. Not excusing the Ottawa play as he was cursing a storm after dropping that one. He had them and knew full well he dropped what should have been the kill shot.

Bombers’ vaunted aura of power is gone. Several games now we’ve seen defenses physically match or exceed the Bombers oline and it’s not going to get better with the way Neufeld and Kolankowski are playing. The last couple of home games you knew the crowd could sense it too. Prevailed against Calgary in a tight came but add the errors and sloppiness of today’s performance… there will be more losses for sure.
