Addison Richards Retires
Tho you can never forcast injury issues with a draft pick that 11th overall pick can now be considered a total bust. Accomplished absolutely nothing, and gave no return. Wish him well in his future endevours. He's still young so maybe after a couple years he will get the itch and try again

Winnipeg @ Ottawa GDT
kind of wasted as it was an obvious call that I don't know how the ref missed. That challenge could have been used on the PI in the endzone when the redblack guy tripped on his own feet..no way was that PI

Has it even been proven he was "told" to sit Willy and start Nichols as opposed to making that decision himself?

Commissioner gets it right
just like it was in the good old days...lol...at least you get one to use..so use it wisely. I played for 20 years of my life without it and it was all good..You ***** and moan, and move on...

Commissioner gets it right
it just goes back to th way it was in football...some calls get missed...you move on...for every bad miss against a team they will get a bad miss for them

Commissioner gets it right
Scoring and turnovers are reviewed automatically, so I like this change There aren't multiple blatant missed PI calls during a game, and if there is one you feel may effect the outcome of a game, then challenge it. The ones that are fishing expeditions with no bearing on a play I am glad will no longer be challenged. Same with the border line RTP calls which were getting ridiculous too...if it's not blatantly obvious in live action, then let it go....each team used to benefit from these stupid challenges, now each team won't get to which is fair to all, better for the game and allows more flow. Games were played for decades with no challenges and it still worked and a missed call now can be part of folklore and history for fans to bemoan and discuss for years and years It will really show now who the good coaches are and who can make best advantage of their challenge.

Finally...an end to the madness and the fishing for stuff that has no bearing on the play

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
Making a statement like that is for lack of better description just selfish and all about him...not the team. Trying to do something stupid like that for the sake of boosting how people view you and risking not making a score or a positive play for your team is pretty sad....more so pathetic When I played and guys were off on their own tangents caring more about themselves and stats/accomplishments they would be pulled aside and in house disciplined by teamates, if not benched by the coach. And yeah he does quit, sulk and act like a spoiled kid when things don't go his way, or "he" feels he isn't being the focus of the offence...it has been seen in his history, and he has caused issues before, and I highly doubt he has grown up yet. Just watch his demeanor on the sidelines and when moping around the bench this year and last when things aren't going good, compared to his one moment in the sun this year so far..night and day.....he's not a good teamate regardless of what he can bring to the filed and it has been publically stated may times...Pretty sad when even a JUCO player calls him out for being trash and worst teamate ever

He just needs to hit a seam or whole and hit it hard...at times he dances around too much and lets the coverage swallow him up. Don't think..just exploit

Maybe we figured we are fine with a mixture of Lankford, Fogg and Thorpe who was a renowned kick return specialist in college...I'm not too concerned over this non signing...we have other areas where I would hope if a chance for an upgrade comes up we jump at

Sick Bay
yeah if Dressler can't go then perfect chance to slide Flanders in, see how it benefits us and then when Dressler is back swap him and Lankford out and let Fogg, Thorpe and Walker handle return duties...would make us a stronger roster if you ask me

41-40, (42-43), 33-25, 43-40 What's going on?
not suggesting he start there, but maybe experiment in practice with it and see if he can do it, perhaps some snaps during a game, or even us him on the field with the other 2 defensive ends still in there and as like a quasi "Jack" position...coming from wherever, shadowing the R.B ...flowing to the ball, blitz from depth. He's athletic enough that he could be used in different roles and schemes

What does your dad do?...
like really...just continues to show what a tool he is and basically a general all round pos. He's made one significant play all year now...

Game day thread: Montreal here
Nichols wasnt turtelling on that play..he was trying to score and Hebert wanted to take a big cheap head shot instead of tackling...and missed
-
Game day thread: Montreal here
was him trying to do a head shot on Nichols on the scramble to the one where he missed his mark too that allowed Winnipeg to get closer to the goal line..if he would have played unselfishly and just wrapped him up he would have been down at about the 5 or 6

41-40, (42-43), 33-25, 43-40 What's going on?
ha!...meant assessment but harassment works too
-
Lost in it all
Was fact we did a lot on offence and had the 2 big drives without arguably our best receiver and Nichols comfort/go-to guy in Dressler. Thorpe seemed to really step up in crunch and take some of the looks Dressler would have been getting in those drives...a good sign any way you look at it

Game day thread: Montreal here
and thats why we have closed practices...to keep things like that and the fake field goal under wraps..fact of the matter...sound ingenious coaching decisions and game planning by a head coach
-
Game day thread: Montreal here
Recovering an onside kick isn't getting help from anywhere or anyone..it's execution...and a bit of luck...But also it was a key coaching decision to use the hash mark option when everyone in the stadium was assuming it was going to where everyone else puts it...that was out coaching an opposing team...generally the only other option you see is a guy just squibbing it straight ahead and trying to recover it himself

Wiecek's Article
we average just over 27k a game so far...well above any league avaerage, and with Banjo Bowl a sell out and with some continued winning play on road obviously larger crowds and if we go on a nice run and are entertaining I see us averaging at least 28-29 k rest of the way Weicek is just a turd..no basis for anything on his article. I guess Huf in CGY too is just as guilty...whens the last time they actually sold out or came close to 95% capacity?

my bad was a fun my bad...I was just too lazy to look up exact yardage and then didnt want a doucher to come back at me for making up stats hahahaha

41-40, (42-43), 33-25, 43-40 What's going on?
Yup agreed...can't make a true harassment until all the projected starters are back. I truly think we are hindered or not doing a lot of the things we planned on with scheme etc because we don't have the personnel in there we planned for, and it's not a case of poor scouting and not finding talent but Wild and Leggett got hurt during first few games and Johnson did at the last moment leading up to first game..so our depth guys and development players get tossed in early..which only helps us once the starters are back. Knox has been good and brings more good than bad to the defense..he wiffed on a couple plays last night but so did a lot of guys...up to this point he has been solid and hits hard. We need to change the scheme tho in whats expected of the MLB or get a guy in there who can do it better. I would start subbing Miles in to see what he brings and if it's more than what we are getting then continue it. He brings more grit and toughness than Hurl and doesn't affect the ratio. That or start rotating Corney in there to jam up the middle...he has more speed than Hurl and could cover sideline to sideline better and actually get to the QB from depth on blitzes...something Hurl just can't seem to do..always a half second too late....Corney would get there and not get lost in the wash at the line like Hurl does
