Disagree. It seems like cheating but it is a very high risk play. Anytime in the speed of action a player attempts this (effectively putting the ball on the ground intentionally) it could result in a turnover the other way. So far, Montreal has done it successfully....until the ball bounces the wrong way one time and the other team recovers it. That will end that play after that.

Demski and Bailey will be at near 100% with the extra week. Also, you would be shocked at how much pain a player will play very effectively with in a championship game. Adrenaline is a helluva thing.

Even he, himself, can't figure out when this concussion might have occurred. Probably because he wasn't touched most of the game.,

Sankey piles up tackles, but he gets to the play late as he is not very mobile. Teams rush for average against him. It's why not a ton of teams showed much interest in him.

I have zero worries about BO EVER not showing up for any game. High, high character player. He will be ready and will leave it all out there.

If Montreal wants to go 8 in the box, ZC will go downtown all game long and that is their only shot at containing BO. Lots of people will probably jump on here and say they didn't have Sankey when BO faced them this year. To you, I say check out BO's, and well the whole leagues rushing averages against Sankey last year. He ain't no run stopper or at least not before yards gained.

He didn't take him out because there was no concussion imo. I don't pull Kelly for Dukes either tbh, easy in retrospect to second guess but that is quite the drop off on most days. For sure. the Argos committed two turnovers in their first two series inside the Als 10, getting there was primarily on the work of Ouellette. If they had stayed with him in the game plan they probably win. Chadwick had committed a pick 6 and stood up and tried to walk a SY 3rd down before he was even touched. I watched the first two series and Montreal had not laid a hand on him up to that point. This is obviously just an excuse for his crap play.

We actually handed them all 17 points, as the FG was also a result of another turnover in our own end which they promptly went 2 and out and kicked the FG IIRC. In two games this year they have literally driven for 3 points against us. All other points were a result of turnovers.

I see no reason to believe they can eliminate BO. He has averaged 119.5 yards/6.3 ypc against them this season. They were mid pack in run defence this year, I am not sure why everyone is suddenly thinking they are some run stopping machine all of a sudden.

I just think this is all rather convenient excuse making and that it shows a ton about his character. Own up to your crap game and quit making excuses Chad.

I get that fear...I do....we are Bomber fans after all...but not on this stage.

Evans? Magical run? I mean anything's possible but this is waaaay down on my list of concerns for Sunday. I'm not the hugest Chad Kelly fan but there is a significant difference between him entering the game last year and Evans potentially coming in this year. Caleb Evans has had a ton of time to demonstrate competence and has failed, I don't see him suddenly becoming a Bomber beater in the Grey Cup. This isn't a blue chipper that just hasn't gotten his chance. This is a guy who has gotten a ton of playing time and has demonstrated that his high end is as a back up.

I was feeling sorry for him until he conveniently used it as an excuse for immediately vacating the field instead of shaking hands. That's when narcissist alarm bells began blaring in my character assessment portion of my amygdala.

Chad Kelly now stating that he did not make poor decisions, he was concussed and that is why he would not shake hands as well. He does not know when the concussion happened or when he first noticed it...but concussed. I'm not calling him a liar but I've smelled fishing trawlers that smelled less fishy.

Ironically Matt played excellent in the playoffs for us.

Montreal is a team capable of winning from capitalizing on other teams mistakes. They do not have the ability to win at this level of competition without those mistakes. Playing clean football has to be our focus as it pretty much assures us victory. Nichols in his final year with us was the favorite for MOP until his injury.

Especially when the opposing QB is known for having fantastic hang time on his 2nd down punt throws.

I agree that we dropped a couple deuces this year, and I think we took some teams for granted or didn't play 60 minute ball in a couple of the losses, but realistically in games of any significance we were dominant. How so?

Blue Bombers - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
Mac and Goveia are the guys I would worry about, although unless a GM position opens up I doubt anyone can offer them significantly more than we can. Maybe he did. None of us have a hot clue what he is making and there are zero media rumored amounts.

Who exactly overtook us? BC...nope. Toronto...only on paper and because of a massive discrepancy in scheduling of tough games. We are still the top dog and Sunday will reinforce that. We had two teams that realistically challenged us as top dog. We went 3-1 against BC, and 1-0 vs Toronto. Yea we let our guard down a few too many times this year but that is not the same thing as not being as dominant. When we show up to play there is no one in this league that realistically has a shot at staying with us. That's still dominance. Our ability to dominate is as good as ever over the past 4 years, and consistency in doing so is not the same but that is an entirely different issue.

We were protecting a lead. Will likely be like that Sunday again.

Grey Cup - Game Week Thread
If Zac's deep ball accuracy is our biggest concern on Sunday we will win easy. No one throws as good a deep ball as he does. We have just been spoiled the last couple years that he was otherworldly at it and this year he is merely the best in the league.

I'd say this year would classify as dominant as well. 1st in just about every meaningful statistical category, 1st in the West, and onto the Grey Cup with a dominant victory over our next closest rival. I guess we could have been more dominant, but that's really splitting hairs as far as I am concerned. 2021 and 2023 can end with the exact same outcome. Not sure how they are not remotely the same. I mean we like to wax poetic about 2021 because we didn't drop a deuce in a game or two but our win % this year is virtually the same and our margin of victory is better.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Of course all of that is going to occur. JK man, but yea I'd say those are some safe bets to make prediction wise. Have to be a fool to think BO and KL won't be ballin' in a Grey Cup.

Improv. It's his safety valve and QBs are taught to eat it and take the sack unless it's a sure thing. Or perhaps you are not making your point clear? Are you referring to sports books? If so, he is right they hate to be wrong but occasionally they take a bad beat and that is actually good for business in the long run.
