If Streveler isn't in as a gadget guy do we really want him on the field much? If he's playing, it's because we are running a series of plays intended to give the D a change of pace. I do hope we allow him opportunities to throw as well, but let's make no mistake the Bombers will put Strev out there with Brady to run a very run heavy play package. Zach will be just fine in his playmaking ability. Saying he struggled last year is overstating things. He had his best statistical year as a Bomber last year. Ford is playing the easiest position there is in the secondary. He will be fine. I'm not anticipating that Gauthier takes the majority of reps...very doubtful on that.

Jake has been on a limited snap count for 2 years now. If you got the snap count numbers I'd love to see them, because if he took more snaps than Walker I'll eat my hat. Also, same goes for Jeffcoat if you look at snaps while they were both in the lineup.

We've seen Jake listed as a starter many, many times over the past several years and then take limited snaps. I think in a pinch Adams would be just fine at end. It will be nice to get Garbutt back tho.

For sure. We saw this the past 3 years already. MOS declares a NAT a starter...we all scream bloody murder and that NAT gets 10% of the reps. Yea, not even much dead weight on the PR. We are sure looking deep this year.

You want recruits leaving with the feeling that they have been given every opportunity to make the team. Never wanna have the rep that recruits are just TCF. Also, there are probably a half dozen guys we released that may end up back here through circumstance. Just because we cut them today doesn't mean we are throwing away their phone number. For us. That's who. We may end up with a couple or more of those guys back here yet if injuries hit, or guys just don't play well that we initially kept ahead of them. There were several positions where the staff had some extremely tough decisions, so that's a good thing and a good reason to give guys, that you know you are going to cut but only based on a small factor, some playing time. I agree. Blitzing is only effective when it can catch an OL by surprise. Done too much you are going to get torched. You gotta have a front 4 that can at the very least get the QB off his spot consistently.
