Muamba, Inman, Dressler, Sheets
He sold his house in Regina in the offseason and his girlfriend now lives with him. Unless she has a piano tied to her arse she can move with him elsewhere in the CFL. You are probably right that he ends up back in Regina, but it won't be the no-brainer you think it is. There are 2 teams who have already confirmed they will be throwing their hat in the ring on Dressler. (Ottawa and Toronto)...wouldn't surprise me if there are more. It never ceases to amaze me how Rider fans seem to think there team and city is some kind of Shangri-La that players would never consider leaving elsewhere for. Heard the same tripe about Andy Fantuz, Craig Butler, etc etc. Taman will need to break out the cheque book in a big way for Dressler, if he doesn't he will lose him to someone else. Unfortunately for the RIders that probably handcuffs them if Sheets comes back or in renegotiating new contracts for guys like Chick, TBrack etc. before FA. Taman may be considered a hero now over there, but they are about to find out that his long term SMS strategy is not fundamentally sound. So how would Toronto be able to offer any more money than Sask? They have just as many big names to 're-sign'... would think Sask has the advantage in that people actually show up to their games. What does attendance have to do with anything? Are you aware of what Toronto's cap situation is, or are you just rambling? The Riders have been documented by several media sources as being very tight to the cap presently. Haven't heard that about Toronto. The fact that their media is reporting that Toronto has strong interest in Dressler leads me to believe that they either have the cap room to offer him a big contract, or they are willing to make cap room for him.

Muamba, Inman, Dressler, Sheets
Dressler still has full PR eligibility left. Wouldn't shock me to see the Bears bring him in for a look see.

Stoudermire on offence?
Interesting indeed. Love to see Stoudermire doing sweeps in the offence. Would be a new wrinkle that's for sure. Wonder if he was supposed to tweet this though. Might have been something we were installing to throw Montreal off.

Kromah likely to make Bomber debut Friday
Kromah is a very physical LBer and good against the run. Should help in that regard.

Muamba, Inman, Dressler, Sheets
Muamba is a lock to stay in the NFL this season.

How good is our offensive play calling?
"he utilized his strengths. Too bad Bellefeuille doesn't do the same" ... to me this is the big deal ... run where you can do the most good ... don't have a philosophy that says you must balance the offense by running up the gut ... hit 'em where they ain't! btw I believe we need to use the pass to set up the run ... not the other way round Well that's a novel approach. You be sure to pass that along to our competitors.

RB Davin Meggett
You forgot to bold your all-caps statement. NEEDS MORE HYPE!!! Duane Slay level hype!!! Why you gotta go there? Duane Slay was robbed by a coaching staff that didn't realize how good he was. He was the best LB to never play in the CFL. lol.

RB Davin Meggett
Would love to see him debut for the Sask game... this is the RB that Bellefuile needs. Seems like the Colts have replaced the Eagles as our main scouting relationship...? Debut? This guy is not even on our team?

Are the R.T.P. calls working?
Still a lot of season left. QBs didn't start dropping last year until around Labor day.

Packers ESPN beat writer projects Andy Mulumba won't make final roster
He is considered an extremely long shot to make the 53 man. However, he does have PR eligibility left, although most of the NFL pundits are suggesting he won't be asked. I have heard rumblings of a verbal agreement being in place with him for his return. Don't know how accurate that might be.

How good is our offensive play calling?
There isn't a single person on this forum who is qualified to make an informed decision. All we can do is point the indicators of success. Our offensive rankings are pretty good.

Cotton replacing Woods tonight on returns
Stoudermire was released because Green was the Rider's "big" offseason FA signing. He played decently as a backup last year in Calgary. I think a lot of Rider fans were upset when they kept Green over Stoudermire.

Packers ESPN beat writer projects Andy Mulumba won't make final roster
Absolutely, he would be a beast at DE or even MLB.

Packers ESPN beat writer projects Andy Mulumba won't make final roster
I'm not sure how he could be eligible. But I've heard some say he is and some say he is not. Just looked into it. He was active for a minimum of 11 games last year (stats recorded in 11) so I don't see how he could be eligible. Baseline is 9. Yep. He is ineligible for the PR. Not sure if he gets any other sniffs around the NFL but if he does it can only be on their active roster. The NFL dream may be coming to an end for Mulumba. Suddenly, that pick is looking a lot better.

Running Game
The lateral is technically considered a passing play. I'm not suggesting we don't use it, but you will note that not many teams do it very often. It is becoming obsolete. 20 years ago they were used a lot but now teams stay away from them because of the increased possibility of a turnover, and the RBs are so fast nowadays that the sweep is a better option. We could run more of those. Bring back the JET package. lmao

Injury Update - August 9
Stoudermire....nice. I was hoping we would play him against the Riders but I'm happy to hear that we may get to see him Tuesday.

Bomber property in the NFL
Why the hell would we sign matthews and then trade him? That makes zero sense... and as much as i like Allen, what has he done exactly? He's shown he can run behind SASKs oline, just like Ford, Charles,Messam and really name a guy, whoever they put in at RB, puts up big rushing yards....It's really irrelevant who is back there for them, This is the same team that leads the league in rushing and have used like 5 or 6 different backs so far in 5 games... What does that tell you? Tells me, it's not the running back, it's the oline. There's been successful RB's in this league behind worse Olines... Grigsby has been very unimpressive I agree. I think that Grigsby could be better if our OL was better, however, I think that there are RBs out there that would have had more success than he has had behind our current OL incarnation.

Running Game
hell, even with the washington fumble... thats just 7 points on that interception right there, instead of losing by 6, win by 1. Yeah the line sucked tonight, Wasn't at the game but they showed wylie a few times on tv and every time he was taking notes of some kind. Probably not too impressed tonight at all. Oline needs to step up. BIG TIME. But i guess, they are what they are and it's gonna take some time for them to actually get better. Are we the worst oline in the league? Nope, but... we certainly aren't even close to being one of the best. I find it hard to blame them though for Willys decision to throw a 40 yard pass across the field like that... but still... Willy has to take some blame for that, he was the guy that threw the ball.. I want to call our oline Ondrej Pavelec, and by that what i mean is, If they are just average, don't have to be the best, just be average, i think we could do some good things. But they appear to be pretty below average right now and are really what is holding us back. No run game, Willy getting killed and hurried the last several games. Oline getting worse, sure they have some injuries to deal with but... Guess when it comes to the oline, gotta be patient, no quick fixes out there, it's gonna take time, I mean, maybe we can look to upgrade our tackles, January included but... It's gonna take drafting to truly fix it. I thought the interior though played pretty decent for the most part though but our tackles got owned several times tonight... They all had issues but, the tackles didn't look good at all and they are Imports (internationals). Tackles couldn't handle Chick. He lined up a little bit wider & they couldn't get out of their stance fast enough or have the foot speed to handle his jump off the snap of the ball. Chick & Charleston Hughes are the two best D ends in the CFL.Yup, the tackles had troubles stopping CHICK all night long... Not sure what game some were watching if they thought January was one of our best Oline tonight. I thought him and howard got absolutely owned and more so January actually. Some folks should watch the replay and just watch the tackles and more specifically January, He did not play well at all. Honestly, from my sober view on my couch at home, January looked the worst tonight... By far. Then howard but...January got owned pretty much every play. Chick was in the NFL for a bit wasn't he or got a shot at least? Honestly after watching this game and several others this season involving the Riders, i can see why.. The guy is probably too good of a player for the CFL, not a shot at the CFL at all, just i really think he's one of the best Defensive Ends in the league, Maybe the best actually. Wish we had a guy like that on our team.. I like our D actually, but man, we are really missing that pass rushing dominant defensive end, paging alex hall or justin hickman I saw you mention irrational bias towards a player from a poster on here.... well you have one against January... Howard was much worse... weather you like to admit it or not, January is one of our top 2 lineman. I agree though that we need a stud pass rusher off the edge. Hunt and Hickman are both upgrades over what we have and Hunt is a FA, not sure on the status of Hickman, but if he's available I want him on the team Hunt was signed by the Colts a couple days ago and Hickman is still not fully recovered.

Telling Bryant Turner comment ...
I don't find anything too telling in Turner's comments. Since the offseason of 2011 it was pretty evident our locker room had cancerous factions. Terence Edwards confirmed this when he retired. What is most revealing about Turner's comments is that it confirms that the brass identified the cancer and successfully removed it....although a quick look at our record was all the proof I needed. I always felt that their were bigger issues than just our talent level.

Don Matthews joins Als coaching staff
I wonder if Popp throws a bunch of cash at Calvillo and begs him to come out of retirement. After he dismisses Higgins and takes over as HC with Matthews playing Doug Berry's role of course.

Hefney coaching?
Exactly, unlike our neighbors to the West, we actually require our players not to act like clowns away from the field. I have no problem with the Hefney release...never did. The Riders are now finding out what happens to clowns when their heads swell, just as we did after 2011.

15 carries for 19 yards
Poblah was benched for Marco I believe. Rory Kohlert seems to be a tad under utilized thus far, it'd be nice if we could get him involved in the offense a little more. True - but he did have one of the key blocks on the Denmark TD. Kohlert was big blocking on a number of plays last night .. that first screen to Moore was a perfect example of him doing the work asked of him .. these receivers have no problem with getting their nose dirty It's great when the receivers block downfield but they gotta produce yardage too.

Bombers release RB Will Ford
QFT. Toronto is a hot mess right now on defence.
