Dude, 4000 ppl is just about as big as Regina. Ok....I exaggerate...but in Canada 4000 people is a big town. My summer cottage is near a town/city of 13000 but the closest real city is 500 miles away with no towns for a 400 mile stretch.

They could easily sign both. Arbuckle and Collaros both at 350 is cheaper than a lot of QB combos in the league and would be fair market value for both guys. If you think that either guy is worth more you are overestimating their worth.

Maybe...but that might be all that is available to us. I think TO trades for the rights to Arbuckle and signs Collaros as a 1b. I think Ottawa trades for the rights to Masoli. It leaves us on the outside looking in imo. I can't see this being held off until FA. GMs are not going to want to let this go to FA. Last year their hand was forced by the league to do so because of the CBA.

You've seen it. We just beat them two years in a row in the playoffs in their own house. The regular season is just white noise in comparison. It's why our 2017 season wasn't as good as we thought it was, and why our 2018 and 2019 were better seasons than we first thought. Anyone can ride a thirty something old veteran group into the playoffs, few can win with them. If you are building a team for regular season success and not playoff success then you are building your team incorrectly. Especially when that veteran group is your core and it has aged out. BTW, I have correctly predicted every year since 2015 that we were a better team than the Riders, and every year we were.

I know they are saying it was a rebuild year in Regina this year, but was it really? With the exception of a new QB this is a very veteran laden team that was the culmination of Chris Jones rebuild really. This offseason is O'Daisy's first and by the looks of his aging roster will be the first year of the rebuild. The bulk of their receiving corps is ancient, the only good OL they have are ancient, their DL is ancient, they have a lot of decisions to make because their trenches are old and without depth.

Lots of guys coming off rookie contracts too, and CoFaj's new contract ate up some SMS. I am still gobsmacked that Powell is getting paid 200k a season. He may get his walking papers due to SMS as well.

TEP has been around since 2006 and has an established membership that for the most part really like discussing football with each other. A forum is not about bells and whistles, it's about membership and activity. That is why people are loyal to it. We've got 12 years of posting history together, just as OB became MBB and the main membership from the OB days stayed together.

Been here for years and TEP since the beginning. MBB is an excellent forum and has been since the beginning. It is nice to see all my TEP friends here since the site went down. A lot of opinions I really respect on both sites, would have hated to lose any of them during this outstanding playoff run.

You are assuming you know what kind of shoulder injury he had. There are many, many shoulder injuries that heal perfectly well. BLM looks pretty darn good after a far more serious shoulder injury than Nichols had. We have no way of knowing, but do have anecdotal evidence of QB suffering shoulder injuries and having long and successful careers afterwards. What we do not have is anecdotal evidence of any player with multiple serious concussions being able to stay healthy.

Nichols shoulder will heal fully. Concussions never fully heal. For that reason, no matter what ZC does for us I don't think it would be smart for us to sign him as anything more than a backup.
