Laine was missing because he like Scheifs was injured. When they both went down that series was over. Player safety is a complete joke. I theorize that Dubois is playing injured. You can see his range of motion is limited and when he tries to extend with the puck, he loses control. I wouldnt write him off just yet though. Kid has tonnes of potential. Amazing what an off season and proper training camp might do for a player.

You can see him look up just before he gets hit by Schiefele. I maintain it was a clean hit too. Shoulder to chest. He's not head hunting and he's finishing his check. I'm not so sure it's a charging penalty either. Everyone saying he was going full tilt is correct... Because he was backchecking.

The Player Safety committee is a complete joke as of late. Schiefele is a 1st time offender, but that likely won't matter. He'll be a scapegoat for the new "rules" the player safety is trying to enforce.
