  1. Agreed. Draft is a crap shoot at best. Some make it, many don’t!
  2. Hecht doesn’t suck. He’s an adequate player. You wouldn’t want him to start necessarily but he won’t hurt you being out there.
  3. Wish some of our receivers we brought in would step up when it really counts. It seems like every year we have several receivers look great in training camp but turn invisible once the lights are on.
  4. I’ll most certainly go.
  5. We’re winning the whole ******* thing this year baby!!
  6. If we stay relatively healthy, no reason to believe we can’t win 13 games. Play makers on both sides of the ball. Loving the way this team is looking.
  7. I don’t know why people keep bringing up Loffler. He gained his all stars by reputation. He was good in his first year but sub par in years two and three. Sure he’ll make you pay over the middle but he was slow and always a step behind in coverage. Jones is excellent in coverage and even if he isn’t 100 percent Hecht is more than adequate to start If he needs to.
  8. 100 percent. I remember when we had to over pay veterans to even consider signing with us. I’m loving the way this team looks. Lots of depth, good Canadian starters, and a ton of play makers on both sides of the ball. Unfortunately a good football team will lose good players. I get it, players have to make a living too but when they leave another team for more money rarely does the team get the value for what they’re paying for. I’m glad we’re on the other end of the spectrum like a team like Calgary instead of a team like Montreal.
  9. I had a feeling Chris Matthews would be a late signing. He was Walters number one target for free agency this whole time. Obviously Chris wanted to explore his NFL options but at 29 years old it was pretty obvious he’d be coming back to the CFL. This is a HUGE move, gearing up for that Grey Cup run. Could not be more excited.
  10. The o-line was BAD, the expansion draft where we got two starters in Khan and St.Germaine was huge for our club going back to being respectable in 2006. Tee didn’t have time to throw the ball but he was bad.
  11. Exactly. I loved the 01-03 years but 04-05 were pretty ugly and that was on Taman. He was what he was.
  12. Those three were leaps and bound our best and most impactful players. I’m not trying to stick up for Mike Kelly or anything but I’m just saying.
  13. Yes he brought in our three best players on defense in one year. Aka our nucleus. Mack was a decent scout I don’t deny some of the talent he brought in but because of the reasons you mention above he was not a good GM.
  14. 100 percent. The nucleus of that 2011 team was Mike Kelly players. Mack was NOT a good GM.
  15. Also another note. It’s refeshing to see us continue to find solid Canadian talent and depth after YEARS of horrible drafting and straight up Canadian negligence by previous regimes. Good teams will lose Canadian talent because you can’t pay everyone a premium but the amount of depth and young talent coming in is really wonderful.
  16. Whether you like him or dislike him you can’t deny how good Kyle Walters is at assessing Canadian talent. Another solid draft overall for the Bombers.
  17. It was against us go figure! I actually remember that game.
  18. Sad thing is he would probably be their best option right now
  19. 2005 team was trash. But yeah you’re right.
  20. Sadly he was our best player not named Milt Stegall back in 2005
  21. As a Kelvin alumni who graduated ten years ago this year this is really sad.
  22. Another jack ass blaming his behaviour on “mental health”
  23. Over 1600 rushing yards and nearly 7 YPC his sophomore year. Put up some nice stats in college.
  24. Keith Stokes was electrifying. Jovon was amazing for a short period of time as well.
  25. Our top end talent was great! Too bad we had zero depth.
