  1. I don’t really blame the Lions. They are a bad team. Lucky was one of their standout players. Sometimes you need to over pay at the start to get that continuity.
  2. Another year of controlling the line of scrimmages on both sides of the ball! Keep em coming Walty.
  3. Perfect! Great Canadian vet who can play anywhere on the line. Much better as a guard but I digress if we can sign Biggie, Collaros, Alexander, and bring back 2/3 of our Canadian running backs I would be a very happy and satisfied man.
  4. Jackson at 175 is a bargain. Both combined for 200 I can live with. They’re absolutely worth it combined. Both could probably get easily an extra 25k somewhere else so glad to have them both locked in under market value.
  5. Ha! I was reading the rider board this morning. I was assured he was going to be making around 160 tops 😄
  6. Maybe they can give him a 100 thousand dollar bonus in his other “job”
  7. Weird. Looking at his stats. He had 400 yards, 4 tds, completed 66 percent of his passes and zero interceptions and never played football again after that season. Does anyone know why his career ended so abruptly? I was too young at the time I couldn’t tell you anything about those late 90’s teams haha
  8. Collaros likes this.
  9. Back to back champs. NFL is going to be looking at our young talent and giving them serious looks. This is to be expected. I won’t ever be upset to see guys chase their dream. Football is a short career go make your money if you can. If not come back to Winnipeg and win another ring. That simple 😉
  10. If Winnipeg had Joe Mack in charge and we were anything like that 2012-2013 club there’s absolutely no chance Harris would be coming home to play for us. People can say players wanted to come play for us and that’s absolutely true but that’s because we created a winning culture and winning organization.
  11. Yeah we kind of earned that reputation over time with team culture, and the eventual playoff success. We were nobodies number one option in 2014 or 2015.
  12. Wicker is an interesting signing. Had a good college career. He was up to 315 pounds while in the NFL. I’m thinking he’ll have to shed some weight since he only stands around 6’2.
  13. Anyone who used phrases like “this isn’t debatable” or “this isn’t up for discussion” I instantly get weary of. Everything is open to interpretation, everything is meant to be debated, there is very little 100 percent certainty in the world of discussion.
  14. It’s weird to think Taman is only 55 years old. He’s looked like he’s been in his fifties for twenty plus years.
  15. Tamans ultimate down fall was that he didn’t value Canadian talent the same way Walters has. He was consistently trading picks and our depth was horrendous. When guys like Dave Donaldson and Marcus Howell are a staple stone there’s going to be trouble.
  16. Keep em coming Walty
  17. Toronto would be a good place for him. Even a washed up Bo is better then MBT
  18. I couldn’t care less. If anything gives us another chip on the shoulder next season. The league obviously wants to hype up interest with the other teams in the league so that it doesn’t look so lopsided I don’t blame the media and the CFL’s best interest in that regard better for us if anything. You don’t think all that talk about Hamilton having a super team in 2021 after we beat them in 2019 gave us that extra chip on the shoulder? We absolutely kicked them in week one. The worst thing a team can do is believe the hype.
  19. Which ring is my favourite ring? The next one! Complete faith in the guys in charge to put us in a position to go for a three peat.
  20. Losing Lawler would be a big loss, he’s not exactly old but he’ll be turning 28 by the time the season starts next year so maybe there’s a chance he’ll be back next season. But he was outstanding this season his hands were as steady as they come and I don’t think anyone else made as many tough second down catches as he did.
  21. Good post. Interesting to see how he’ll fit in Edmonton with a brand new management team.
  22. Don’t forget the Spanish flu killed 50 million, I swear that is the toughest generation on earth. Imagine through World War One, then a deadly pandemic, then the Great Depression then finally when things were starting to look up… World War Two happens!
  23. Well yeah but I mean with the allegations of not getting along with teammates. I was curious to know what those issues were.
  24. What exactly has happened with Trevor Harris?
  25. Funny thing is I asked him if he was getting a ring and he said yes. No mention of Saskatchewan LOL
