Anyways back to the game.. I certainly respect Calgary, I think they’re a well coached team, it’s always a tough game against Calgary, it’s one of those games that can go either way. Would love to get a W on the road but wouldn’t be surprised if we get our first loss of the season. I think it should be a good game regardless.

Also speaking of the stupidity I’m looking online and 3 teams have had 2 bye weeks already, 3 teams have had 1 bye week, and 3 teams have had ZERO bye weeks. This is so bush league and ridiculous.

There’s 21 weeks in the season and we don’t get our first bud until week 11, like ideally for safety reasons each team should get one every 7 weeks of the season, pretty crazy considering we played our 3 games in 12 day stretch and still have to play several weeks until a bye week. Not very well managed by the league.

I don’t think he ever broke a single tackle in his whole career as a bomber. For a running back that’s almost impressive in a a bad way.

I’m excited to see how this receiving core does, I expect Schoen will probably be our number one guy. Intrigued to see Grant in a bigger role, I expect healthy doses of Bailey Agudosi, and Woli, and we’ll see if we can get anything out of Harrison.

I get they had a decent year last year but they’re hosting the grey cup and made no changes to improve their team, or their roster. How did they go into the year saying yep this is the team that’s going to get to the Grey Cup in November. The bad o-line, the average at best QB play, the undisciplined penalties and the suspect team culture were all things any fan of the CFL could see a mile away.

I must be getting my memories mixed up but the particular game I was thinking of was against Ottawa the same season in October we won 40-32 in over time but Ellington had the touchdown and 2 point convert to tie it late before we eventually won in over time. But that goes to show how good He is we can’t even pin point the exact game in the same season!

I was very happy when we signed him, he was a guy I wanted forever, and I thought his chemistry with Collaros would be a huge bonus but even I didn’t expect this level of dominance, very satisfied with our receiving core right now, it might be the best one we’ve had here since the early 2000’s.

You would think after beating them in the playoffs in 2018, 2019, and 2021 they would learn some humility.. too much to ask for!

Not to mention the weather gets worse in November and December, there’s typically more wind, ball is harder to hold on to, the great thing about a balanced running game is that it tires the the defense out, especially late in the game, and it makes your offence harder to key onto. If you don’t have to worry about the run, if you play a team with good ends like Winnipeg they know they have free reign to rush the quarterback without having to worry about contain . Those are just some of the reasons why it’s important to establish a good or balanced running game.
