  1. How ironic when Rod Pederson is as clueless as they come.
  2. I've always liked Teague. Teams tried to pick on him, but he always held his own well. Seems like he's in a reduced role this season, which goes to show our Canadian depth has steadily improved since we first brought him in. I think he's slowly getting nudged out, but he was always a good Canadian role player.
  3. I guess the smiley face didn't give away the obvious sarcasm.
  4. That can't be right, could it?
  5. Ed Tait @EdTaitWFC The #Bombers cut Canadian receiver S.J. Haidara from their practice roster. Another victim of the Nichols bonus
  6. I think people forget how much terrible quarterback play we've had over the years. It would be wise to keep Willy around for the playoff push this season.
  7. Jerry, Jerry, Jerry..
  8. I wouldn't get rid of Willy at this point. Quarterbacks get hurt. It's valuable having someone who can play down the stretch in case something happens to your starter.
  9. I wasn't implying a NI OL in that post.
  10. There's certainly enough new players that have came in and performed well this season for the bombers. Finding the cap space by releasing an under achieving, over paid vet shouldn't be a problem if we ever had to compete with the cap due to Nichols bonuses.
  11. Would trading/getting rid of the off injured high salary of Paddy Neufeld fix this problem down the road if it came to it?
  12. He went 0-4 on his picks last week. That goes to show how football knowledge this guy has. He's around to pump the Saskatchewan Rough Riders tires with very little substance.
  13. I think he was just reiterating what BBlink was saying. Fogg has been great. Good natural instincts on the ball. I wouldn't punish him for a few dropped INT. I'd give him praise for being in the right place, and the opportunity to make those plays.
  14. We started moving the ball more. Less two and outs. Started controlling the TOP. Having a well rested defense, and having a defense that isn't feeling pressure because the offense can't move the ball is huge.
  15. As soon as Macho is healthy he should be on the first plane back to Regina
  16. I don't expect Neufeld to be back next year. In fact I would be very disappointed if he was. He simply can't stay healthy, and his on the field play doesn't merit the salary he makes.

Not to nitpick but 7-11 and you could tell in 2014 we over achieved at 5-1. Nearly every game went down to the wire and we got a few lucky bounces. This season feels different. Our defense is good, our special teams are dominant, and our offense although not spectacular has been good. We've had three straight games where we dictated the temple most of the game, that simply wasn't the case in 2014. I don't think we're favorites to win a grey cup or anything, but we're certainly on our way to being a good football club. I haven't seen football this good since 2011, let's enjoy the ride we have three winnable football games coming up and this will put us into the conversation whether or not we're contenders or not. But I'm a little more hopeful then I was three weeks ago!
  18. There's several rider fans who are convinced that Saskatchewan is going to win their next three games in a row against, Hamilton, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. I've never seen a more delusional fan base. 1-6 but Chris Jones and company can do no wrong!
  19. And that was the last time Drew Willy played great football.
  20. Beating the Riders in Regina for the LDC classic would go a long way to the psyche of this football team. Going back to Winnipeg for the Banjo bowl with a winning record would only be the second time since 2007. Yikes!
  21. What ever happened to Offensive, Defensive, ST, and Canadian player of the week? Now it's just top three regardless of position?
  22. Another week, another controversy. This 100 percent reminds me of Mike Kelly in 2009. Looks good on the Riders.
  23. I hate to break it to you, but Staal really isn't that good. His cap hit is terrible. Fleury is a nice prospect but still a prospect non the less. We don't need another centre, and we need a LHD that can play now, especially if we get rid of Myers because i don't think we have a defenseman on our roster that could play the number 4 spot right now.
  24. I'm sorry but this simply isn't true. Fleury is a nice prospect, but completely un proven. Myers is a great number 3 guy on a decent contract. I would only move him for another polished and proven defender. There's also 7 years left on Staal's deal, I dont want a 40 point centre making 6 million for the next seven years, and losing Petan and Lowry seems pointless.
  25. This is absolutely ridiculous. Staal's cap hit is 6 milion so no thanks. Id rather keep Little as our second line centre. He'll produce more with a cheaper cost. Fleury is a nice prospect but I wouldn't part with him for Myers straight up, never mind moving Petan and Lowry. Stafford could play up and down the second and third line for now. He doesn't really fit on our team but he's easily moveable at the trade deadline for a draft pick.
