Captain Blue got a reaction from Bigblue204 in New TV ContractI think DAZN is just happy to have yet another offering as part of their subscription service. They already have the NFL package, they may hope to draw some eyeballs from people just flipping through options on some nights. I think that's the CFL perspective as well.

Captain Blue got a reaction from wbbfan in 2026 Bombers SeasonI'm not too sad to see Wilson leave, it's clear Elgersma will be the next QB hope (whether it works is TBD). It is definitely concerning that we have no other CFL experienced QB on the roster behind Zach. Wonder if we try to change that.

Captain Blue got a reaction from Tracker in 25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season ThreadStewart is absolutely going to ruin the CFL. Tweaks to the schedule and dates are fine. Good idea to try and get more warm weather dates in. Making the regular season far less important will hurt over the long term. It may not be an issue right now, but eventually casual fans learn that they don't need to pay attention until closer to the end of the season. You can already see it with both the NHL and NBA seasons being so long.

Captain Blue got a reaction from Blue-urns in Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion ThreadI think he becomes one of the most interesting training camp stories now. Let's see how fast he gets up to speed.

Captain Blue got a reaction from Blue-urns in Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion ThreadI really don't see a lot to complain about with these hires, but hey maybe I'm just not raging hard enough.
Hogan was very good as the RB coach - good enough to draw praise from players and get the OC promotion. It didn't work out. He's back in a role that he previously excelled at. Seems fine to me. I am sure Osh assessed whether it would be awkward or difficult for Hogan to have a demotion.
Jake Thomas had a lengthy career and most of it was due to his hard work and effort. This was not a man with God-given talent. Those players have to work and perfect their craft to succeed, especially to stick around a while. I could see him being good in this role. Maybe he won't be, who knows. I look forward to hearing about the DL coach after every loss next year.

Captain Blue got a reaction from wbbfan in Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion ThreadInterviewing two proven OC candidates is a pretty strong start. Hope they can nail the hire.
Toronto's approach seems...odd. Aiming high is fine but they seem interested in everyone else's head coaches, interviewed their own assistants, but no other external assistants.

He’s on a 1 year contract. Likely up already. If not close. I think what this says is they moving on.

Captain Blue got a reaction from Noeller in Permission to talk: Is O'Shea leaving? It sure seems like Osh is doing the very thing so many here said he wouldn't, which is reflect on ways he can improve. Some head coaches are more involved in certain aspects than others. This is seen everywhere in professional football. The easiest example being when an offensive minded head coach lets his DC have full control of that side of the ball, or vice versa. Or when someone gives up play calling to a coordinator (or takes it back). Training camp intensity varies among coaches too. You see stuff like this all the time in the NFL, where some coaches feel like practices are super important and some try to prioritize health more. Sean McVay had Matt Stafford do very little before the regular season.
I guess I'm just trying to figure out what answer would appease people here. If he says that he's not going to change anything he will get blasted. When he provides literal, concrete examples of things he will change he also gets blasted.
If you or anyone else just wants to hate on the guy then that is totally your call. I don't need to change your mind. I just find it funny that some posters have hammered all year that Osh doesn't change or reflect on his work but clearly does.

Captain Blue got a reaction from Piggy 1 in Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion ThreadIs there such thing as a rebuild in the CFL when 6 of 9 teams make the playoffs and most contracts are extremely short?
Roster turnover is huge across the league.
