Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
The only other option is for the defense to honestly not come near a receiver. So you know, impossible to play defense now.

Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
That's a soft PI call. Hope it's overturned. Bad for league if they keep these terrible penalties up.

Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
I don't like that ruling. If BC recovers a fumble, who cares if it's too casual? Sask could have jumped on that ball if they cared to pick it up,

Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Second day in a row I'm gonna call out praise for signature jerseys. The Sask ones are decent for sure. Did the leg pants change to black? They look a little less like Oregon now.

Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Montreal got great signature jerseys. I honestly love them.

At what point will O'Shea start going for 2?
The only time I am in favour of kicking for 1 point now is if it's in the second half and it's really a no-brainer to get the extra point. To win, to put yourself within 3, etc. You only need to make just over 50 percent on your two point tries to make it worth it, and I feel given our red zone, goal line offense that we would easily surpass it. There are NFL studies showing that teams should be going for 2 more consistently. I would be willing to bet that the evidence holds up in the CFL too.

MOS: give the D some time
I think Hurl gets too much hate. I don't think he's been very good this season, but I don't think he's nearly the problem others do I guess. His job is a lot harder too with DTs that aren't able to move linemen around.

Unamba was good on special teams, useless everywhere else. That's why he is gone and Shell, who can actually pitch in and play on the defense, remains.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
I really want to laugh at the Rider fans who are claiming to fire everyone, but I still see the Fire Richie Hall thread to high up on this board. The guy who's coached three games here. I hope this board proves me wrong, but I'll be looking to see if all those guys with low post counts and shouting from the rooftops are here this week to discuss a win.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
You have to wonder how many more losses before Sask cans someone. Think Chamblin still will manage to survive for now, but add a couple of losses onto the 0-3 and someone will get blamed (by Chamblin, since he's blameless of course.)

Holy geeze, Saskatchewan continues to plummet.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
Was only half paying attention, was it really worthy of a flag?

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
OT! Saskatchewan absolutely can't close out a game properly.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
Can't believe they're going for the kick here. Such a long kick, I'd gamble on the third down play.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
These flags are probably good calls, but this is really killing the game.

I want to see OT.

CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy
That's a shitty call there ref, cop out ruling forward progress stopped. I mean, the guy is still moving and fighting. At least it didn't make the difference, BC gets the ball.

No whistle, I don't see how you can overturn this.

27 flags. Way to go refs.

Four straight plays with a flag. Yay.

Moving Chris Randle to SAM Was A Stroke of Genius
Randle was better at SAM today. Still best at corner. Top tier corner > decent linebacker (or really, dime back), in my opinion.

Bombers/Als Gameday Non-Chat Room Non-GIF Thread
Other than that major gaff I thought the refs. did a decent job tonight. It wasn't a flagfest like other games have been so it seems as if the players are starting to play to the rule changes. The first half seemed to have a ton of flags, and then very little in the second. I think they're still struggling to figure out consistency. Did both teams magically improve in the second half or did they just decide to put their whistles away?

Bombers/Als Gameday Non-Chat Room Non-GIF Thread
I will keep battling this idea that the Bombers were bad. Ya, this one wasn't nearly as pretty or efficient as the W against the Riders. Still I thought both teams played well tonight. Bombers' offense couldn't finish their drives but they still moved the ball. Willy makes all the difference. The passing game was so much more effective. They had the right idea with hot routes tonight but still have to sharpen them. Couple of knockdowns by the DL hurt them too. I think the offense after two games with Willy overall has a positive outlook. Montreal was extremely aggressive tonight but the Bombers didn't fold like they did last week. The D has 3-5 breakdowns a game. Today we survived despite those, but they still need to be cut down. I thought they looked like they were sorting things out more. Leggett was much more like the safety we saw last year, and like Willy, has a huge impact on his side of the ball. The weak spot still is the DL. We can't get pressure and that's why QBs are putting up big numbers. The new guys on the line helped a bit, so I'm hoping that they continue to tinker to find the right combo. People in the chat complained about the run D but I thought that wasn't an issue tonight. Lots to work on, but growth in the right direction. I'm pretty pleased with the outing.
