Team needs a wake up call... i agree with Mitch it wouldn't hurt shelving vets and putting new guys in competing for their jobs. While Markett definitely failed tonight, it may be somebody else who could come in like Dunn did pre injury and just play at a high level.

doug brown has somewhat of a point... but it was weird that he really grilled the o today when the defense completely shitted the bed. A caller suggested that we drop Jovon since he's fading away fast.... DB responded by saying FIRE OC RIGHT AWAY ITS EASIER. I actually think Mitch had the best idea which is quite rare.... he thinks that the team should make SEVERAL changes instead of focusing on one thing at a time. While I don't agree with bringing in Knowlton... I do think it wouldn't hurt bringing in some o line guys RIGHT away and it wouldn't hurt throwing in a few vets who might be able to direct these players since they appear to be completely not focused or they simply don't care. As some callers said... this team needs leadership either via coaching or players... right now they are getting none of that in both areas.

I think what we need to do ASAP, is improve our o-line right off the hop. Also need to get something done on the defense definitely in the secondary....

Need o-line help immediately, need hc and oc help immediately..... secondary is playing way to soft and the vets just laid eggs all night long So much going wrong that it all needs to change

I was going to say Calgary is a great team for him to play against, their defense is definitely in the bottom half of the league. I just hope (pray) that he shows at least a half decent performance, it'll be very annoying to hear burke throw Goltz under the bus and pump Bucks tires.....

I don't get why they did that.... it's not like the team went undefeated when he took over and that things were that rosey. He should of been given a 1 year tryout before they hitched the wagon to him.

As said many times before, Mack wanted to get rid of Buck.... Burke wanted to keep him. I'm pretty sure they would of been much more aggressive for Reilly if Burke outright said that he is done with Buck Pierce.

Maybe Burke really doesn't have a say in the offense? Maybe he really does ignore the game and simply lets it pass by until the defense is back on the field?

Goltz has put up more points then Buck has this season so...... he's the starter because he's the only known entity that we have. How can anyone say he's better then Max Hall when Hall hasn't had a chance to play and during the pre season Hall and Goltz outplayed Pierce badly.....

That has been the trend since LaPo came to town... it's quite frustrating. My guess on why they don't go vertical more often is because Buck throws a real crap long bomb. Glenn tonight was facing pressure on one play pump faked which made the Als d line man jump up, he ran around him and tossed it 40 yards down field over the heads of the dbs into the arms of I think it was West. Buck can't do these things at all... he throws the ball 5 yards behind the receiver.

Remember Mack told LaPolice that he HAD to bring in a OC , so that is why Crowton came in.

I would love to read an odds and sods for that Calgary - Montreal game ! I can't believe how undisciplined the Als are this year, so many extremely stupid penalties that kept pushing Calgary ahead 15 yards. The refs could of called alot more as the Als were doing a tonne of late hits and face masks once they started losing. Glenn looked good out there, that is how you stop the blitz. The dude burned the Als several times and it relieved the pressure off of him and then it opened up big holes for Cornish. I thought Montreal has some of the worst tackling displayed ever, also Calvillo was throwing heat but they were off the mark for most of the night. Also Coach Gary Busey is going to be one and done after this year, that 3rd down gamble at their own 30 was ridiculous when they had the 5 point lead and the guy does not have any control at all of the team. Bo Levi I thought looked decent but nothing super special, he under threw one bomb by at least 8 yards and late in the game he tossed into triple coverage when they were 2nd and 5 and holding onto a 1 score lead.

Whoever decided on keeping Buck needs to be fired.... I wonder just how much control Crowton truly does have on final decisions. I wonder if he had full power that he would not put Hall in since that's his guy.

Looking a lot better then what so many of the naysayers had against him for the last few years. I was watching the last half with lots of fast forwarding... but was it not Etienne who completely knocked a Toronto guy out of the game because he ran over him. I was under the impression that Jade is to small to play football.

I rewatched the game last night, Goltz was pretty damn shakey and looked like a guy with only 14 attempted passes in his career. That being said he did show some upside and the ability to throw a deep ball, scramble and the ability to actually hit a guy in stride and/or on the chest. The upside to Goltz is way higher then Pierce at this point so why not put him in. I think Goltz will struggle mightily but hell at least he can throw a bomb and use his feet to buy time and at least the receivers have a chance to catch the ball without making circus like jumps.

Good bye Crowton that's for sure! It's to bad that we didn't get Cortez in the off season....

I didnt' watch tonight, was Buck really that bad? He seemed good up until that lame duck deep ball which was returned for big yards followed by the perfectly tossed Ray bomb TD which seemed to have killed all life in the Blue?

So I ask this again... should Goltz start?
