  1. Honestly he's a good coach but not a miracle worker. What has been the common trend to his success? A good qb. Anthony Calvillo and Ricky Ray. That said, this is the CFL and if you don't come to play you can get beat.
  2. Have to say I was really impressed with our DBs today. Aggressive and making plays. A couple penalties but a lot of contested passes. Not something I'm used to seeing.
  3. Plays safe. Doesn't look to have any fire to him at all
  4. Has anyone actually tried to chase Nichols out of town? He has been criticized the last couple games (rightly so).
  5. Yep we were so sure of ourselves that we didn't take the sure thing
  6. Terrible display last night but it's just one game, no matter how excruciating. Nichols needs to be a lot better and hopefully will be.
  7. Buono was first half O'Shea and O'Shea was second half Buono. They were both terrible. O'Shea wasn't smart enough to take points. It's a road game ffs. That's why I'm hanging this on O'Shea moreso
  8. Lulay was basically chucking and ducking all game. You lower your head and someone is going to hit it. Thought a couple of those calls were straight bs
  9. Blame rankings imo: 1. Nichols 2. O'Shea 3. Lapo
  10. To be fair he put more trust in who is supposed to be our starting Qb and leader to make a throw. And he barely hit a wide open Adarius Bowman that one time. Guy is looking putrid
  11. Does Nichols have a full 300 yards yet? Awful
  12. Feel jinxed against Lulay but come on. Our players man to man were better minus the Qb position and coaching decisions. Brutal and so frustrating
  13. You could have literally won this game by handing the ball off to Harris every down. O'Shea, Lapo and Nichols....this is on you.
  14. Bunch of questionable calls by the refs, questionable decisions by the Bombers and questionable play by Matt Nichols. And here we are
  15. He turned it up several notches
  16. If this hasn't been mentioned... This is what a good defense can do to keep you in the game if your offense isn't getting on track
  17. They're cutting down on the explosion plays by allowing 15 yard mini explosions down the entire field
  18. Can't see how we can be so concerned about our rookie Qb more than our inability to make any plays on defense lol
  19. BBlink replied to BigBlue's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If the defense could make a stop in the 2nd or 3rd quarter maybe our rookie qb could get some traction. Being held off the field for 5 minutes at a time is tough
  20. Fair enough. I'm not arguing that there are QBs that can run and pass. I'm just having a hard time thinking of a guy that could run as fast as he can (period) with his size and willingness to truck a DB. Maybe I'm getting a little too excited and showing some bias...he just seems to be on another level running the ball from other QBs currently playing.
  21. I can kind of see Kerry Joseph as a good example. Mike Reilly has great escapability but to me doesn't run like like Streveler.
  22. For the record I said speed AND size. Edit: He is listed as 6 foot. He always looked small to me. Streveler looks and runs people over like a linebacker.
  23. Example? Just curious. I may have forgotten.
  24. I'm not sure Streveler is a QB that will consistently throw for 300 yards because he will legitimately run for 50-100 yards a game. I'm not sure the league has seen someone that can run the ball with his speed and size at the QB position. Shouldn't that at all change how he is ranked? I guess we'll see as the year goes on.
  25. They are in danger of not winning a game if Ray is out. Good thing for them a one win season probably gets them second place in the East.
