Lot of things: Big uptick in import recruitment in general, this year Nichols protects the ball, while we gobble up an unreal amount of turnovers...real hard to lose games when you are winning that stat at a 6 to .75 ratio. Getting a good pass rush with just 4 or sometimes 3. (the basis of success) RH has been running a few more pressure packages. RH has also utilized the range of our LB's to really help out in his zone coverages. Having a CDN running back and a CDN starter at S.....has given us much more roster flexibility. .... like replacing Neufeld (lousy run blocker) with Bond (massive road grader) We also have managed to plug in actual competent imports in the other OL spot. Already drafted CDN's Goosen and Chung are settling in. Any OL plays better when they can run the ball and be aggressive. Knowing they have a RB who will fight for every inch, is a motivator, as well. We have a automatic FG kicker. Always get the points, when we penatrate enemy territory. Players are finally playing for MOS....instead of just talking about it.

Nichols had, like one completion longer than 15 yds.....and it was to Harris. Yeh, things are working out, but in this league....you have to stretch out the field, a hell of a lot more than that.....so defenders can't just rundown hill on this short stuff.

Als come back with back to back TD drives...14-9 Als Not many touches for Harris...so far.... Nichols throwing a bunch of wayward passes.... Bombers O leaving way too much points on field... Blue rookie receivers looking like rooks.... Way too many off the ball penalties.... Moe Leggett steps in front of Thick Nick.... ...and strolls 50 yds for INT touchdown.... Plenty of plays left on field....but Blue up 18-15 at half... Both teams fall into total stupor... in scoreless 3rd quarter... Ton-O-Flags...real dumb penalties by both sides.... MOS passed on 2 potential Medlock tries.... Why do both teams run that shotgun, in short yds? Both teams D's....taking over the game..... Medlock goes 5-5 and puts Blue up 22-18.... Down to field position....in the stretch.... Lapo figures out that Harris should get more rock.. Bombers get ball deep in their end, with 5 min left..... Nichols is hitting passes now....rooks are catching them.... Big Boy Bond totally sells roughing penalty on Bowman... ....Als outrage results in another 15..... Harris busts outside on draw play..... ...and walks into end zone.... ...putting the cap on clutch 95 yd drive.. 29-18..as Black would say...Goodnight Montreal! Loffler gets window dressing interception, next series.... Then Bass pulls down the curtain, with yet ANOTHER pick Stated that this turnover rate was unsustainable..... 1. Harris. Yeah, the fumbles....but the more he gets the rock, the better this O works. Tough, max effort player...and making the tough plays in crunch time 2. Multiple Tie Loffler - guy is around the ball and consistently pops people. is this dude really a rook? Leggett - not many LBs are a quick pick 6 threat. Had number 3 at a key time, tonight. Bass-Wild - like a pair of energizer batteries, they just keep going and going.
