Yogi Berra, dead at 90.
He won 10 of those world series too. 15 time all-star (and 3 time AL MVP) in that time is also very impressive because it means he was a great player, not just some bench warmer on a powerhouse team.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
Just need Henoc to bodyslam a sumo wrestler on an aircraft carrier and he's good to go. I'm sure an O-lineman can substitute for Yokozuna but I'm not sure where he'd get the ship since Canada doesn't have any!

Election 2015
Unless that deal is way out of the ballpark of what they consider to be a fair offer. The timing (and offer) might be better for them after the election, depending on who's in power.

Election 2015
Yes, there were negotiations happening, even while the court case was active. The 1st Nations have been given an offer according to one of the chiefs involved (Dennis Meeches from Long Plain) but they don't trust the Feds and have concerns the whole thing will fall apart.

selling tickets?
I think it has more to do with the on-field product than being cheap. I have extra tickets to both October games that I'll be lucky to get rid of at any price, especially if the weather doesn't cooperate!

Election 2015
I don't think the Kapyong thing is close to being finished. The only thing the court case managed to do was confirm the Feds did not consult with 1st Nations on the sale of the land. There is no guarantee that the land will go to them, just that they get a chance to negotiate a deal. If the government decides to go with a different deal, I can easily see this ending back in court. The 1st time it was we weren't consulted at all, the next time it will be we weren't consulted fairly/properly. I haven't seen anything that clarifies what the "consult" entails so the 2 parties could have vastly different expectations.

Practice report September 18
Are you sure you didn't mix up the names of the QB's? Brohm with the near INT and Nichols with the nice deep ball sounds more realistic.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
Sorry, I don't buy that logic. The NFL has already passed on them the first time and in a lot of cases their sham degree from "Southern Pinestick A&M" is not going to lead to many employment opportunities in the real world that pay as well as a job in the CFL.. I can't stand this bias against athletes. Find one guy on our roster that is from a school you've never heard of. My brother coaches at the University/National level and academic standing (GPA and attendance) is a high priority for his athletes. That is, unacceptable academic standing means no play (no matter who you are) until it's brought up to the standard set by the University regardless of sport (I believe its around 3.00 GPA and 80% attendance rate). So I think the more practical question, for me at least is, where do American Universities sit with this when it comes to football play and academic standing with their student athletes? My educated guess would be it varies from University to University. That's all well and good, but a lot of the basketball players at BU when I was there were dumber than a sack of hammers, and mostly they took classes such as shoe tying 101 and walking and chewing bubble gum 305. A lot of universities like to claim that they have high academic standards, and I'm sure some do, but there's also a lot of fluff involved in getting the athletes through those requirements too. A required course if you want to leave university with an STD.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
He might be familiar with the team and city but he may want to chat with Hall since he's the DC now.

PK's big donation
I'm not a fan of PK at all but kudos to him for doing this.

Willy Returns: Throwing At Practice (9/16/15)
We need to let his hit points replenish! After a long rest he should get them all back. Not sure what's taking so long. Can we set him up at the local inn? Maybe he needs a potion or two?

BANJO BOWL
Knew that was going to be hit of the game as soon as it happened (despite the PA announcing it was a Washington hit on Dressler)! There were quite a few good hits. Messam got stood up nicely by Leggett towards the end of the game and isn't practicing right now (concussion protocol).

Henoc Muamba or Matt Nichols?
I'm assuming that choosing #2 means you just can't poop every morning. It's really poorly worded though (lots of that going on apparently) so who knows?

Henoc Muamba or Matt Nichols?
#2 and it's not even close!

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
I'm hoping Walters said to him "Go get everyones offer then come talk to me" Rumor has it that BB are willing to pay Muamba whatever it takes. It will be up to Muamba as to where he wants to play and how quickly he wants a GC AND last but not least how much it means to him to play with Cauchy. Is Edmonton in on the bidding now too?

Adidas new jersey provider in 2016
This worries me a little.

Week 12 other games
From Arash Madani's tweets, it doesn't seem like the players are a big fan of his either.

Austin bumps Stala - pays $5,000 fine
Out of curiosity, for the people who are OK with Austin's behaviour... would you be as accepting if the situation was reversed (ie Stala intentionally going after Austin)? People have brought up Stala's reputation as a loudmouth but Austin has a rep of being an @sshole (and this just adds to it) so is he fair game for players now too? Personally, I don't think coaches/players should ever come into contact like that... if the coach has a problem, get a player to send a message.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
I can't imagine that actually coming to fruition. If Henoc is willing to play for a losing team he'll come here. And if he's willing to visit BC, playing close to home can't be that big of a consideration.

Nichols is the man.
Not only did the find him... they passed on him 3 times! After his 4th tryout with the Bombers, he finally got invited to camp. He didn't "fit" whatever Etch was doing with the linebackers so that's why he never got the call until this season.

NFL Cuts
Or Greaves might get you a 2nd rounder and an important o-lineman!

The TV Thread
I've been watching it. I loved the first half of the season but the rest of the season hasn't been as good in my opinion.

Bombers Trade for Matt Nichols
Doesn't inspire confidence in Davis when they said he's only been here for a month but didn't know enough to play yet.
