The future looks bright Jets fans ...
Buff's only regression this season was from Norris trophy level of play to his normal level. His points/gm avg. dipped slightly b/c he wasn't putting up any points as a forward. When he was back on D he was right on pace with previous seasons. I'd have no problem giving him an extension of 4-5 years.

I'd take Brayden.

Round 1 - Game 4 : Ducks @ Jets
I've been around. Stl 6 Min 1

Chris Williams signs in Ottawa
Just read on twitter that he got in the neighbourhood of $220k from Ottawa. That was $80k higher than the next best offer from BC.

Oilers Win Draft Lottery
Hall & Eberle for Postma & our 2nd round pick. Maybe bump that up to our 2nd 1st rounder if St. Louis makes the Finals.

Round 1 - Game 4 : Ducks @ Jets
He was very good in game 2. I thought he was just ok in games 1 & 3.

Whats left on the shopping list
I think we'll only start one rookie linebacker. I think Unamba probably has the inside track for the sam spot and we'll see a batte between Hurl & Newman for the wil position. They aren't exactly grizzled veterans, but they've got enough experience under their belts that they should (hopefully) be ready to take on starting roles. It's definitely the biggest question mark heading into camp though.

Dan DePalma
He had two plays over 55 yards last season.

New guys - High hopes? Low hopes?
Pretty sure Tburg's created an app that notifies him if there's a complaint about the media made here. I worry that he's trapped under something heavy if his standard "complaining about complainers" line isn't delivered within an hour of the first post.

New guys - High hopes? Low hopes?
Funny - no author shows up here, yet I'm willing to wager soooooooooooooooo much money that this was written by Wiecek. What a petulant ass. His article about Wylie also complained about this issue. They both came out on the same day...

Round 1 - Game 2 : Jets @ Anaheim
The playoff rulebook has always bothered me. Is there another sport that changes its standard of officiating for the playoffs.

Oilers Win Draft Lottery
Is "tendy" something people say in Alberta?

Oilers Win Draft Lottery
So how are they going to screw this up?

Round 1 - Game 1 : Jets @ Anaheim
Full acknowledgement that he shouldn't have done it, but... I thought the Scheifele penalty was weak. It was more push than punch. In a game that was played under prison rules that didn't look to be where the line in the sand should be.

New guys - High hopes? Low hopes?
I like the guys you mentioned, and I'm also interested to see David Mims. Walters said they've been trying to get this guy to Winnipeg for a few years now. Must be somewhat intriguing if they've kept him on the neg list that long. He's not new, but I'm excited to see what a healthy Thaddeus Gibson brings.

Non-Jets Playoff Action
$7,600 in fines for all of that and 3 games for a coach punching a player. The good ole days...

Non-Jets Playoff Action
I only watched the clip once but I thought it was a fairly light tap and a heck of a performance by the Sens player. . P Micro fracture in his wrist. Possibly out for the rest of the series

Dan DePalma
Nice. I remember his name from FA. You & a couple guys from riderfans were proponents of his. I'm a little surprised it took this long for a team to sign him.

Romby Bryant retires
You are a much bigger man than me, sir. I watched him live in the game the Bombers won in BC and he just didn't seem to give a crap. But maybe that's just my untrained football eye. It's impossible to say for sure, but I always thought he was trying. He just wasn't very good any more...

Romby Bryant retires
and then he should thank Brock Ralph for being his inspiration for the latter part of his CFL career. Bryant didn't have much left in the tank when we brought him in, but he gave what he had left. Definitely doesn't deserve to be compared to Ralph. My lasting image of him in his 2nd stint here will be chasing down a db running back a nearly sure td in a blowout loss.

Game 81 - Jets @ Avs
Is it fair to judge a GM on one season's work? He traded their top 1st & 2nd rounders for short term help, and now they might miss the playoffs. They're also playing shorthanded for the past two weeks b/c he mismanaged the cap. IMO the only thing that should save him is a good run in the playoffs. If Babcock doesn't re-sign in Detroit, Pittsburgh will make him a massive offer and give him full control of player decisions.

Game 81 - Jets @ Avs
The Kings were granted cap relief with regards to Voynov. Ok? And how much did that help them on the ice? Lol cap relief doesn't do you much good mid season when there is nobody to sign. But it does if you want to make a trade. Exactly. They were able to trade for Sekera b/c of the extra cap space they had. As for Richards, he's just a bad player with a bad contract. They don't get a pat on the back for playing through their own self-inflicted wounds.

Game 81 - Jets @ Avs
Hawks are very top heavy with salaries and have several stars on their team.
