They still have Labatte, Best, Emry, Getzlaf, Bagg, Messam... Pretty good core of Canadians. Other than against us, Messam did virtually nothing last season. In games against teams other than us he had 160 yards on 40 carries over eight games. We could have gotten that production from Volny if we played him that much. I also think Emry needs a bounce back season to be considered a really good player again.

Dressler & Brackenridge are both questionable for Saturday.

I don't think it should be too much of a problem. He's a pretty seasoned vet that should know his way around a playbook.

I thought GIbson got the most pressure of anybody on our dl against Hamilton. He looks really fast to me. He took a couple of penalties, but that can (hopefully) be fixed.

That's what he said last year as well...so in his mind he doesn't think that Marve has progressed. It makes me think they will never think he has progressed whether he has or not. They probably hate him and it's become personal.

Great value for him imo.

Great size and passable skating. He also has decent hands for a 4th liner enforcer. Probably a top 3 fighter in the league. Takes way too many bad penalties though and doesn't seem to have much for hockey sense. Overall, I'm happy with this signing. He'll probably be in the press box for most of the season anyways.

LOL - a poll conducted this far out before the election and before the summer months even really start is completely meaningless. The NDP have stirred up some discontent with a lot of fear-mongering over Bill C-51 but almost everyone will have forgotten about it after a few days at the beach. Here in BC the NDP were leading in the polls big time well into the election, and it was only when people started to realize that the NDP might win, and all of the crap that would bring with it, did everyone wake up and start going another direction. I don't see that being much different on a federal level. The bill itself is nothing but fear-mongering. Federal servers were attacked today by Anonymous over Bill C51. I blame Harper. On the plus side, I have sfa to do until it's fixed.
