Bombers release OT Corey Lewis
I'm guessing it's as simple as Sam Longo being better. Is it bad to try to keep improving the roster after TC? It's bad that they seemingly can't find a player good enough to stay on the roster. Agreed. I can only assume no other team in the CFL has dropped a player from their practice roster this season.

A Comprehensive Review of Kyle Walters
Not really. They were trying to add some experience. He wasn't as bad as most make him out to be. I wouldn't have signed him, but it wasn't a wtf moment to me.

A Comprehensive Review of Kyle Walters
Regarding the op, the story about Mulumba & Edem is hearsay. so shouldn't be used to praise or condemn Walters. The early returns on the 2014 draft have been decent and it's way too early to judge 2015. Writing Richards off after an injury plagued half-season is nonsense. The Walker signing is the first moment of real worry for me about Walters. Recruiting on defense has been decent, but we haven't found much of anything on offense yet.

NFL Cuts
I thought Justin Cole looked decent against the Stamps. Worth another look for sure.

NFL Cuts
Then you don't know what you're looking for. He's quietly become an elite SAM in this league, no question. He had a bad game at the start of the season. Everything else is irrelevant.

Markus Howell as the new OC - Free Press
This is pretty much exactly what I thought was happening. He looked like he'd panic and run directly into trouble.

Depth Chart vs Calgary
Littlejohn had to play b/c we had no linebackers left on the depth chart for that game. Simmons isn't playing right away b/c now he has Littlejohn in front on him.

Election 2015
I feel that anything that promotes savings is a good thing because as a society we simply don't save enough. With the tax free aspect of earnings on them as well it should promote some investment which is good for the economy as a whole right? I don't think you can worry about possible lost revenue (god I hate that term) in the future. It's good for the people so to me it's a good thing. I tend to agree that it's a good idea as a whole. I 100% agree with Fraser that you should be keeping long term investments in them.

Election 2015
It's certainly good news for investors. It remains to be seen how it will affect government revenue in the future though. There are good points on both sides and I don't know which is right.

August 23 practice report
Kristian Matte was a first round pick in 2010 and didn't start until this year for Montreal. Bad pick?? So, your point? We need to see what Goosen can do. What's Matte have to do with it. How don't you understand the point he's making?

Grey Cup & Banjo Bowl Temporary Stands
The Riders were also a serious contender who made it to the game. We aren't anywhere near that as a team. I'd argue with that "serious contender" statement. The Riders were 8-10 in 2012. The 2013 season was barely 3 weeks in when they officially announced the sellout. I'd argue your argument that they weren't serious contenders. They went on a massive FA spree that offseason and started the 2013 season 3-0 with two blowouts.

Election 2015
It's something that boggles my mind too. My brother and his wife are pretty much the poster family for income splitting and they certainly aren't wealthy. Yes he makes a good salary, but his wife doesn't and with 3 kids they don't have anything close to wealth. The people against income splitting are the low earners who think they should as a household with 2 low earners pay less tax than a household with the same income but the majority of that income coming from one person. The left is very petty when it comes to people having more than them. They won't like being called greedy but they are greedy. They want more than they have and want people with more to have less. You're big into generalizations. I'm not a low income earner, nor am I really a "lefty", and I'm not a fan of income splitting. I disagree with the idea of taxing households as a group rather than individuals. I know there are already differences in taxes for married vs. single people, but I'm not really sold on that either. It's not the worst idea ever, as I understand the thinking behind it. I just don't agree, and I actually benefit from it. A story about people having more kids than they can afford won't persuade me. Seeing as how you like generalizations, the right likes keeping their women at home and want a tax break to pay for it.

Mike Richards on waivers
I heard on the radio this morning that the rumour is it took so long to charge him b/c they were trying to get him to give up his supplier. He refused, so they charged him. That's from Wheeler, so take it for what it's worth.

Election 2015
No one is going to use revenue for one thing and one thing only and I honestly don't believe that it should be used like that. Why not?

Election 2015
I wish one of the parties (LIberals) had the stones to bring the GST back up to 7%. Such a stupid move by Harper to cut it. I'd like to see those two extra points added back to the GST and used exclusively for infrastructure. I would want oversight on those funds though, so nobody could pull a Selinger (PST hike) and spend it on whatever he wants. Liberals are promising to pour a pile of money into infrastructure (causing above noted deficits), which is desperately needed. The problem is the Conservatives have cut off so much revenue it's gotten harder to pay for it. IMO they have to borrow to do this b/c it's desperately needed. Balancing the operating budget and borrowing for infrastructure is the way to go imo.

Election 2015
I have no problem with the healthcare "cuts". The provinces need to get their costs under control. Their plan of always asking for more isn't sustainable.
